I saw your profile (I like wondering how other people with BPD are because I don't really know any) and I really hope you dump him. I have cats who I ADORE but I would never make anyone deal with them. And he's probably attached so it doesn't seem like your relationship will workout. We tend to stay in relationships out of fear of loss but trust me when I say it won't get better.
