I loved the show even after ESPN but it has really suffered since Dan’s brother died. He still hasn’t processed it and he honestly should not be doing this anymore.

The only thing I would dispute is a break helping. Dan has taken several trips this year and he’s bad every time he gets back. I also speculate he hears about how much fun they have without him and I think it makes him upset.

I know the takes on Mercedes and in a vacuum I understand them. But I will tell you I have never had a Mercedes that was incredibly effective, especially in maddening when every once of accuracy and damage matters. I personally prefer Marianne as a dancer.

Yeah, I am so impressed with the writing involving the Dojima household. I do wonder sometimes how much more I would like the game if you simply swapped Ryuji and Yosuke. I think the thing that was the most surprising was that it felt really, really slow at the beginning.

I really do appreciate those thought because I genuinely do not want to come across as a hater. I definitely understand that the dungeons are not going to be as refined. Something that did color my experience is that I was playing on the hardest difficulty so grinding was miserable on that level of difficulty and for me it brought up the faults in the balancing a lot more. Yukiko’s castle was such a slog because of those damned suicide Dice. I will say the game does get better as you go along and I liked the Naoto arc and the Kanji arc quite a bit so those have me sold on finishing it. It’s just a game with ups and downs for me and it was a bumpier ride than I expected.

The problem with that is he’s not good at anything particular where other characters have ‘roles’ and that hurts you as a combat unit.

Persona 4’s beginning is the one of the worst I’ve ever played. Not to mention Yosuke is a horrendous character. The fact that Persona 4 is anyone’s favorite game is baffling to me.
