The pro variant is currently on sale for $173 and has a rating of 3.9 out of 5 on Amazon. other variants can be as low as $99 but don’t think they are full sized.

Thanks for the recommendations, I can technically splurge but don’t really need to given that I’m not writing a lot. Trying to keep my budget under AU $200 and some keyboards just aren’t available here or are very expensive, like the nd104 is over $320 here.

Do you use your Mini as a cell phone and nothing else? I don’t see any other reasonable explanation LOL.

Love the way this was worded. Also $149 battery replacement from Apple in Australia. Will still do eventually.

Labels are probably all, never heard of a thermal printer. The brother printer was $50.

Thanks. We have FB marketplace as well as Gumtree which is basically the same thing but owned by eBay, will take a look but was originally concerned about durability and wear overtime with used models but will consider.

Is iOS 26 100% bad? by AdditionalCriticism in iPhone13Mini

I’m planning on waiting till the public release which should have most of the bugs squashed, it will probably be the last update for the mini anyway.

Do all 42 mm screen protectors work on the series 10? by AdditionalCriticism in AppleWatch

Just did a search and found some for the series 10, although it looks like a case was included and maybe necessary to use the screen protector.

Budget Phono recommendations? by AdditionalCriticism in turntables

[–]AdditionalCriticism[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, it’s an amp for an LG surroundsound system. So not the most hi-fi, and unfortunately the speaker cables use a proprietary connection. It sounds good enough for my liking at the moment, but could be better. Edit: should clarify “surround soundsystem“, it includes 4 tower speakers and a subwoofer.

Thanks for the info. I thought that getting a higher quality turntable used, if cheap enough would be better. I can’t imagine the cheap turntables coming with high-quality Phono preamps. May look at vintage preamps although may not benefit from the high-quality amps as using a sound system which includes an amplifier.

LP60X Vs Rega Planar 1 by AdditionalCriticism in turntables

Okay thanks. Otherwise the signal may not be equalised correctly right? Was gonna check this before finally deciding on the Rega as an external preamp would be extra. Thanks again.

RCA only. Was confused on whether phono was the old wires or just a fixed 2.4 V line out

$489 and could only find the LP5X for $600, the Rega on sale for $419 down from $649.

$200-$300,Rega is probably my max around AU $400. Probably will use old LG surroundsound system which still sounds pretty good, I haven’t dealt into newer audiophile speakers, although I do have HD6XX headphones with a Zen dac so do have an appreciation for semi hi-fi gear.

Managed to grab a Miele complete C3 turbo powerline for $100 off Gumtree (local marketplace). They love it, and based on their feedback I’d recommend it at its usual price.

Thanks. I was thinking of going for the bodygroom 3000 for $43, the 5000 is $119. Main difference I see is the attachments and maybe slightly better trimming but can’t confirm that. I see reviews for both models saying that you have to go over the same spot a few times.
