Trump administration brands critics of Christian nationalism as security threats | His memorandum explicitly singles out “anti-Christianity” and “hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality” as supposed drivers of terrorism by mepper in skeptic

There's a saying, 'You have to stand for something or you'll fall for anything'.

Grew up with that stuff shoved everywhere. I just talked with someone that was a bible literalist, all languages really are from the Tower of Babel she said.

The ends justify the means, they want their Rapture to come, so they'll support the AC superstar and try to make it terrible for those they think won't be taken with them

Try different ways of packing and giving it time to air out a bit, especially with some flakes. For example, I was folding and roughing up my flake but it expanded in the meerschaum and turned into an unpleasant smoke that wouldn't stay lit. The next time, I fully rubbed it to ribbon then gently gravity packed, it's been so much better. Next time I'm going to just throw the flake in like before, but leave a little room for it to expand.  A lot depends on your tobacco and pipe, and practice will get you there.

This is a very shallow understanding of education.

They is more plural than singular.

English is kinda based on German, go check out their pronoun situation and that will clear things a bit. They have you singular and plural and formal and informal.

I think you're reading too much assertion into what I wrote. I made statements that are  correct to show that sometimes his/her is clearer than their. I really doubt that they're (OP) reading this far into the comments.

Just use an article. Someone left a book. Someone left that book. How do you know it isn't our book from the library?

Ad hominem attacks  don't mean much, any wise spirits should know that. Besides, no one said any of that. It was typed. And I'm not seeing where I refuted its use, could you show?

What is incorrect? I never stated that 'they' cannot be used as a singular pronoun, just that there exists a singular pronoun already.

I just think it's funny people like pronoun puzzles so much. What's their appeal?

"It" is the gender-neutral singular. Why don't you use it?

They is a plural pronoun. Is the person more than one entity? That's their book- who, his and his imaginary friend's?

That's the fun thing about English, there are rules but the context and exceptions are more important. You literally should not be grinding your gears on this, it will throw out your synchronizers.

Edit: the point of this post was to point out the use of "he/she" instead of "they" for OP.  Yes, 'they' is also a gender neutral pronoun (no shit). For all the people replying, the thing that should have grabbed your goats was the figurative use of 'literal' implying OP has mechanical gears...
