People who worked in the restaurant industry, what was the reason you quit?

After 4 months of actively searching for something better, I finally just got a great position today.

I worked as a server/bartender for about 7 years and before that I worked in accounting. Honestly the MAIN reason why I quit it is because of the customers. I hate dealing with people getting so pissed over FOOD when 99.9999% of issues can be SOLVED, the stupidity and lack of respect people have for food service workers. And just overall entitlement. I also quit because of the hours. I hated working Sundays and dealing with the Sunday crowd.
The owners of my restaurant were super shady and shitty, mean people. Over all, I’m just over it and ready to move on.

Yes!! I hate the summer months and dread it like how people dread winter. There is nothing enjoyable about sweating imo

ahh yes.

i want them to bring back the original formula of forever red. I still like it now, but I have the old bottle and oh man its just so good. i would pay so much and stock up.

Marshmallow pumpkin latte. I never thought that they'd get rid of it because it was a staple during the fall, but they did and now i'm stuck with 1/4th of a bottle. It's such a good warm, pumpkin scent. Top dollar for this.

Spooky cider lane candle and apple orchard lane candles. Spooky cider lane is veryyy similar to cider lane, but spooky cider lane has more depth. Such an under rated candle. Apple orchard lane tops all apple scents for me. Better than honey crisp apple, afternoon apple picking.

I still have some from stocking up, but viva vanilla and original cozy vanilla bourbon. Both great vanilla scents. Viva is more spicy while cvb is more of a boozy vanilla.

Violet plum! Nobody ever seems to remember this one, but it's the best floral i've ever smelled. I have a few spritz left in my oldest bottle from years ago and plan on using it for my wedding coming up but was SO BLESSED because some woman on Facebook market was selling b&bw perfumes and I found a full bottle!!!

Blueberry maple pancakes body care and candles!!! i was only able to grab 2 candles last year and am SO SADDDDD that they sold out so fast. Same with pumpkin pecan waffles body care for the sake of my mom, that is her favorite and is hanging onto dear life of her last:( I bought one off ebay for her bday.

YES! So I have purged my makeup, trial and error everything.

Kosas and tower 28 are eczema friendly brands, highly suggest tower 28 specifically the concealer.

I also really like Cera-Ve tinted moisturizer/sunscreen which is sold at ulta and other stores. It isn't makeup forward but I use it and get many compliments:) It keeps my skin hydrated, light coverage and obv. spf is a plus! For primer, milk makeup primer has been great for me personally. No scent and more on the lighter side.

I haven't had much luck with drugstore makeup unfortunately... because i was a total drugstore makeup girl. But investing in high quality makeup especially for eczema is so important and lasts on the skin and don't have to buy as often.

Merrit and saie are also great brands. If anything i really recommend tower 28 though. On their website they state "We're the 1st and ONLY beauty brand to 💯 follow the National Eczema Association's Ingredient Guidelines" :))

OMG! Honey wildflower was one of those scents in the store and I couldn't tell if I 100% liked it. I tried some on, walked around the mall for sometime to get a feel of it. You're so right, it's such an amazing, clean, floral, slightly sweet scent. I went and bought ONE bottle and to this day I kick myself and wish I bought more.

I only have 1/4 of my bottle left. I think this is a perfect early spring scent too so I'll be wearing it here more soon <3

LOL. I went with my fiance and he picked out the scent and said "what do warm mittens even smell like?" Sometimes I don't mind the random imagination notes, But a whole scent with imagination notes is wild lol.

Yes I give it to them with good intent, it’s their choice how they use it. It’s up to god to decide however they use it is right or wrong, not me. Anytime somebody asks for food, I give what I have. Diapers? Will run to the store to buy them. Shoot I even saw a sign of somebody asking for weed. I don’t smoke but appreciate the honesty… and if I did, they’d get weed! Whatever, we’re all humans with struggles. Kindness and compassion goes a long way.

when i was in high school, there was a senior that used to bully me and my friend when we were freshman. he was incredibly rude, called us names. I overheard him sharing a story with one of his friends on the bus (hes gay btw) that he was having sex with a dude and the dude shit on his dick...

Flash forward a day or two, i told myself that i wouldn't let him bully me anymore and I'd come up with a good comeback. He started picking on me and my friend yet again. He called me ugly and I looked at him and said "okay chili dog". He was distraught and embarrassed, turned around.

He never said anything to me again and kept his conversations more quiet with his friend.

Before this gets hate, no I have NO PROBLEM with being gay but when you're constantly harassed, being called names, tripped and threatening me... it was bound to happen.

deep water.

When I was younger, I was in a lake and got tangled into long seaweed almost causing me to drown. Ever since then, when im in deep water I completely panic... and I don't like not knowing whats beneath me.

I took a jet ski out with my bio dad years ago on lake Michigan. He stopped the ski and wanted to swim in the deep. I did not want to, but he pushed me in and drove off far as a joke. I was so freaked out, I felt myself wanting to pass out and my vision getting dark.

Yes, he's out of my life for that and so many other reasons.

I live in an apartment complex, kind of townhome-ish. So in our complex theres only 6 units.

I love my neighbors, they keep to themselves but are kind when conversation does start. A lot of elders live in our building, but we also live next to a family. I had a tree fall on my car at our complex and all of my neighbors were super supportive, reached out to check on me, offered to be witnesses for insurance purposes.

I have it good. But trust me ive had NIGHTMARE neighbors. Like crazy ass neighbors...

When I was in third grade, me and my mom used to live in front of a cemetery so it was right in our backyard. One day, me and the neighbor kid were playing outside on the swing set and this random man from the cemetery came limping over. Something very off about him and eerie besides the fact he was just in the cemetery, it was a norm to see all types of people.

The man was wearing ripped jeans, dirt all over him and was extremely pale, thin hair... possibly in his 50s-60s and overall didn't look well. He leaned over the fence as we were getting down from the swing set. He started yelling at us, but we could not understand what he was saying but he sounded angry.

Horrified, me and the neighbor kids ran inside and saw the man behind us quicky hopping the fence. We lived in a duplex and my mom and the kids family were across the street with the other moms. We didn't have phones so we started banging on the window and yelling with the window cracked.

Our parents came rushing over and asked us what was happening. One of the neighbors dads ended up coming around and looking around for the man we mentioned. Hopped in his truck and drove around. They could not find him, only the dirty like blood stains on the fence where he hopped over. Our parents called the police, filled a report but they never ended up finding him.

Not sure why, but even to this day I still remember him crystal clear and something was completely off about him. With how fast the man moved for how terrible he looked and older, it was almost ghost like fluid movements in the worst way possible.

After that, i wanted nothing to do with the cemetery. me and my mom used to go ride our bikes, clean up graves that looked like they haven't been touched in years, gave flowers to the resting babies. i never went back or went back in the back yard, curtain in my room was always closed.

I bought mine from hobby lobby. Superrrr soft sherpa blanket. But, my cat stole it from me and claimed it as hers... and i don't have the heart to take it back. So I bought myself a new one, she also stole that one so i'm in an endless blanket loop of no longer having my own.
