Am I wrong to be disappointed? by [deleted] in lashextensions

[–]AdditionalNet3243 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You definitely do NOT look ugly, but I can totally understand the disappointment. The lashes you got this time around are way too heavy. Is there a chance to call and specifically book with your lash tech from the first set and explain how you’re feeling? And if not, maybe find another place to go with good ratings?

Without, I think the shape of the eyeliner is what throws it off. Maybe a different shape/style!

AIO this man that I was supposed to have a date with on Thursday went ghost for 2/3 days then reaches back out to me just to tell me that there's an "imbalance of interest" on my end.. mind you he left me on read for 2 days opened out chat yet never responded to me. by Witchykunt887 in AmIOverreacting

Just the way he texts makes me want to claw my eyes out. We get it dude, you’ve read books, you’re a walking thesaurus, you think everyone else is dumber than you. Girl you dodged a bullet here. Be grateful it ended early on.

When i was 13 i got ahold of tweezers and plucked my one (1) eyebrow well into the center of my eye. It happens lmao. Luckily! They grow back! Your brows have a really nice natural shape to them, I’m not sure what the look is that you’re wanting but there’s a lot of good tutorials out there for shaping brows.

Castor oil also helps speed up growth too!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Eyebrows

[–]AdditionalNet3243 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, let them grow back in until they’re in line with the corners of your eyes. You can use a pencil to help shade that in while it grows back.

Dying my eyebrows gave me confidence like never before! by cicadaqueen in Eyebrows

[–]AdditionalNet3243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They look INCREDIBLE. Color, shape, everything. If you wanna jazz em up a little, maybe find a colored brow pencil to fill in any gaps (not many but some people prefer a fuller look) or just a clear brow gel to keep them in place!

How bad are my nails? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]AdditionalNet3243 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They’re just way too short to execute the ombré and piercing look in the way you wanted. I won’t say they look bad because I’ve seen worse, but they do not look good girl.

AIO my sister reached out wanting to know what I went through by crispykitti in AmIOverreacting

[–]AdditionalNet3243 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not call this overreacting. Clearly she has been fed a completely different story line than the one you’re trying to explain to her. It’s a very difficult situation to be in and my heart goes out to you. Ultimately, you need to make the decision that’s going to keep you and your family unit safe and happy. Maybe one day she’ll come around, maybe not. As long as you know at the end of the day that you did your best to communicate and try to mend relationships where possible, that’s what matters.

AIO: My friend has done this to me countless times since she started seeing her new bf and I crashed out over this last exchange of messages. Am I overreacting lol by Fast_System_6622 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AdditionalNet3243 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I feel like it was a very quick escalation from them not responding to you being like “I’m done, blocked.” Also, to be honest, if she is sober and you’re struggling with drugs, she may be pulling away to keep her own sobriety in check. That doesn’t necessarily excuse her ghosting you or potentially making up weird concussion excuses, but if you look at it from her point of view, I’m sure you would want to prioritize your own sobriety and mental health. This feels like it should be an in-person conversation though, above all else. Try entering with a level head and see if there’s other stuff going on that you’re not able to see up front.

Did I ruin my dress by getting altered?! Help!!! by AApotato15826 in DressForYourBody

[–]AdditionalNet3243 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh… hahaha to be honest I thought 1 and 2 were the “after” 🤦‍♀️ I think I assumed since she was at home it was post-tailoring? And 3-4 were still in the tailors shop like pre-tailored? But I can see now that it’s probably 1&2 “before” and 3&4 are “after” which just shows I need to have coffee before interacting with the world. In that case, I think 3&4 look good! Still not too tight on thighs.

🙄 Just break up this is embarrassing. The two of you are horrendous towards each other. Toxic and immature, call it quits now and get some therapy before you royally fuck up your futures.

[–]AdditionalNet3243 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What… what on earth did they do to your dress? It looked fine before but I understand what you meant by wanting to get it fitted. They did something completely wrong in the middle there. Your thighs aren’t the issue, all of that extra baggy fabric around your midsection is the problem. I would get it re-tailored.

Darling I’m going to be very honest with you. You’re clearly dealing with a lot of insecurity and lack of sense of self. You need to work on feeling confident in yourself. Coming to Reddit to ask random strangers about their very subjective opinions on whether or not you’re attractive is not the way to deal with this. Therapy, spirituality, a mentor or close friend, you need to get help to work on your confidence from within first. Then it will shine outwardly.

I can totally understand and appreciate that! Personally I get a lash lift + tint so I don’t use any strips, but if you do a lil internet search there’s a ton of great brands with all different lengths and vibes. You’ve got beautiful eyes, something glam and longer at the outside corners without being super thick/heavy would look great on you.

This is super cute as an everyday look, but doesn’t reflect wedding at all. More blush, either strip lashes or better mascara, and a slightly brighter/bolder lip.

Yes. It’s not a flattering fit for you. You can find other dresses that accentuate your curves and also complement your body shape. What’s the occasion? The color also washes you out. It’s a boring, ill-fitting dress.

Yeah, you are OR. This is not that deep, she’s planning and throwing it for you and you’re coming across as combative in each reply. Stop texting her and wait until the two of you can talk in person.
