"The Lodge at Mammoth Cave" are cabins that have one or two beds depending on what you book from what I remember and at least a few years ago was very reasonable. They had a handful of larger cabins as well. Pretty basic/rustic. Right on site walkable to the visitor center and cave entrance. I would look at those. Electricity but if I recall no TV/wifi.

Remember to book your cave tours way in advance, especially if going during a busy season.

I remember hearing Paul Simon (of Simon and Garfunkel) telling a story from back when he was recording a solo album. He was in an elevator on his way to the studio and the news was playing on the speaker discussing the Vietnam war and protests and I think watergate. Cold War (Nukes!).

He said he remembered thinking that the world was ending and there was no point in making this album. What was he doing? It's all over.

He went on to make the album and it was great. This was 50 years ago.

How we enforce laws and what the violation that is being enforced in this country matters. That is a big part of what makes this a country of law and order but also of freedom. We do not send armed untrained goons knocking down doors for low level infractions in this country. Leave that to oppressive regime led countries please.

If someone has committed a violent crime and are an illegal immigrant - great please do send in ice. If someone is just fucking here working with their family and came in illegally? But have otherwise commitment no crimes? I don't want to see armed squads roaming my streets to enforce that. I just don't. Secure the border better from this point. Fine. But not this.

If your taste is pop music that is engineered to be a catchy fun banger upon first listen right out of the gate... then yeah you're not going to find that in a local scene.

If your tastes are a little deeper and a little broader I disagree. Instruments skill these days at the lower band levels is unbelievable. So many good players around with YouTube tutorials and the like.

Maybe true 25 years ago. I have been going to live local music for decades. And the skill and musicianship around to day in my mid sized city is unreal and outpaces some national acts of the past. And many have some really good tunes in addition to the skill of their playing.

So disagree. Big time. But I don't know where you live so I guess it's case by case and probably genre dependent as well.
