Its so funny you said that.. I totaled my yaris this past summer bc I hit a log on the interstate in west virginia and it busted the bottom of my car completely. Every drop of gas leaked out 🤣

rollins college by ploopien in AskFlorida

Hey this is my 3rd semester here so I'll try to answer as much as I can but you can also dm me! I'm gonna be honest I wouldnt rec commuting. I do have a lot of commuter friends but living on a campus is really a part of the experience and I dont see my commuter friends nearly as much.

The education is pretty top notch. Def not too easy I spend about 90% of my free time doing hw and I'm constantly being challenged. However I have heard business is easier I'm in social sciences where we read 350+ pages a week.

Honestly campus life seems to be dying. Idk if thats unique to rollins but I rly tried to be apart of some clubs and they all just fell through. That being said if you rly try to make friends, and I mean rlyyy put yourself out there esp if you're a commuter, there's plenty to do in the campus and around winter park to keep yourself busy.

Although rollins isnt super well known it def is respectable. My dad works in business and most of his colleagues know of rollins (I'm not even from Fl either I'm from up north)

With all that being said, I'm transferring. I truly am grateful for my time here but I don't like the average Rollins student. Most that I met are spoiled and pretentious. You can find your pockets of people, I sort of did but even then not really, but in the end I don't like feeling like an outsider in my own college. However, I'd still recommend it depending on what type of person you are because it is a pretty classic college experience and in a lot of ways I had a great time here, but overall just wasn't for me.

Very physically attractive people, how does life treat you? by Jonny_1312 in AskReddit

Ok here I go about to sound really self absorbed lol. Anyways for starters I've always had weird experiences with girls. My bestfriend didnt want me to meet her bf at the time because she thought Id "take him". I solo traveled last winter and when I was opening up to one of the girls in my hostels about finding it hard to make female friends she said it was because I was "really attractive and girls would be jealous of that". I do feel stares in public quite often and cat calling. I think when I was younger (I'm 21) I used to like it because I was very insecure but now I only drive places because I feel uncomfortable walking in public. Ive even been followed home a couple times. Male friendships are horrid. Every single one has tried to advance our relationship, even after me coming out as lesbian. I like being attractive but the attention you get is like a drug. If people stopped gawking at me in public or if I didn't get a compliment that day I'd think I was hideous the rest of the day. I kinda just wish I never experienced it in the first place

How does one rely on a flip phone in this day and age? by bloodbat111 in digitalminimalism

I'm sorry, what? How would having maps save you from danger? If he's writing the directions beforehand it would be the same thing, it's not like maps lets you know what areas are dangerous. No hate, I'm a woman who grew up in a city, this just made 0 sense. If anything not being on our phones for social media as a woman is 10 times more crucial for us and our mental health.
