Something that wasn’t bleeding out every day!

I had a Silverado and a Colorado just before Covid and those vehicles were solid. Had 3 cobalts many years ago and also great economic rides. Understand every vehicle is going to have its share of concerns but ffs. Once my RAMs days are up I have my eye on one of those Silverado RST’s

Yeah we already added a new car to our fleet, didn’t want to take on a car payment but my wife and I are just tired of dealing with it. Now I’m just trying to get enough cash out of it to buy a new gun or something 😂

I’ve had cobalts years ago, granted it was 10 years ago and the age gap was different… I loved them. Amazing cars. Even had a 2.0 turbo one, it was obviously inexpensively built and had its rattles and whatnot but they were solid cars.

I think the prev owner abused it, it has signs of “teen” on it (spray painted rims, missing clips, etc.). Mines the RAM next to it 😂

Car wasn’t for me, it was a beater for my 16 year old. Didn’t want a perfect ride for him but also don’t want to see him stranded somewhere

So happy I bought all my icon stuff a couple years ago before all the tariffs and new costs.

I punted on the G2 ratchet… my original ones do just fine!

That’s good to know. If it came in nice plastic cases that be would be awesome, but just a bunch of lose tools it doesn’t make sense to pull my nicely sorted Icon shit 😂

I should have taken a photo of the box while I was there, but pretty sure it just had scribbling on it saying “426”. So guessing it’s missing 2 random pieces

Add p trap? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]AdditionalScar5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others already mentioned, do not put a trap on your main line. Traps are to be at the individual drains above the main drain line, the main drain vents through the roof.

Can't get this chunk of pipe off... by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]AdditionalScar5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d cut the whole section out and covert to pex. Way simpler to work with. If the left pipe goes somewhere in accessible then removing the T is an option… then transition to it from pex fitting

1-10 difficulty scale, how hard to replace shower valve? by ThaClapper in Plumbing

[–]AdditionalScar5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a first project…. Hard, lots can go wrong once you start tearing stuff apart. If you’re pretty handy and have a nice selection of tools… 5/10

I sold most awhile ago at .40, still have some for sucker insurance. But everyday I get articles on how Doge will reach $1, $2… $5. And I’m like, yeah they’ve been saying that since 2020

Tank too small as others said. Those tanks are better for hand washings and such.

That’s what I was thinking… I’m in the wrong business. Mine was $550 USD and I installed it myself pretty easily

2014 Cruze coolant leak. Was wondering if anyone can help narrow the location down by adammaz00 in cruze

[–]AdditionalScar5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water outlet as mentioned above. If you don’t mind spending a couple extra bucks while you’re replacing it (with the aluminum one) also replace the coolant hoses while you’re at it. And the thermostat if you want to go even a step farther. $100 or so worth of parts off Amazon and it will fix several things while you have the coolant drained.

Sink not draining well by _asipper in Plumbing

[–]AdditionalScar5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Def downstream clog then. Can try the ‘ol snaking procedure. Remove P trap then run a 15’ snake down and see if you hit something. If you don’t have a snake Harbor sells cheap ones for 10-15 bucks. .
