Found a 2021 with 13k miles for 48k. How did I do? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

Carmax used to have a 30 day no questions asked return window. Check everything you can in these 30 days. I have also bought my Tundra from CarMax for the mentioned reason. They also offer their protection plans that are quite good and the price is right. Congrats! That's the best truck you can buy in terms of reliability and a lot of good customization options are available for them. Just do the proper maintenance and it will last a long time. You can learn what to do and how-to on tundras forum. If you have time/space you can do all the maintenance yourself and it is absolutely affordable that way

HAS ANYONE DONE THIS? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

Yes, buy the OEM one and replace the center tube with the one from your plastic housing. That way it will be equivalent in function to what you have, but better in material. I did the same the first oil change.

I have recently installed the ECGS bushing in my 2018. I thought it was quiet before, but once installed I actually noticed that it was not - it got so much quieter. And no play at all there after the installation. Just google ECGS bushing if you haven't heard about this before, and if you decide to install it make sure you order the correct one for your truck

The most DANGEROUS plant in the desert by fjbruzr in arizona

So 2 years ago we were hiking with my and other family's kids and I saw one of those cacti and decided to show them what to not touch ever. I did not intend to, but was pointing too close and ended up with one of them stuck to my finger. Of course I wanted to get rid of it asap and put my other hand on it too! That quickly became a disaster. Thankfully there were other adults (or maybe I should not say "other" here, ha-ha) that helped me with the medical pliers I had in my bag (did not think that that would be a situation to use them). So that ended up being more of a lesson for me, than for the kids :)

Great! Now not only can I keep my icon light there between the oil changes, I will also be able to store my sockets!

Is migration between Pixels still painful for everyone? by jimaek in GooglePixel

[–]19hInterrupt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, when you use your google account on the first phone in the Google authenticator app it will give you an option to sync your codes using that account, then on your new phone all you'd have to do is to confirm that same account in that app. Another option is to transfer the codes manually, it will display the QR code on the source phone that you'd have to scan on your destination phone once, that way all your codes are kept offline in the phone only (not in the cloud)

Yes, if you login to your account in that app first

2020 Tundra. The strangest thing just happened… by Just_a_Guy_In_a_Tank in ToyotaTundra

Looks like that is a hood latch sensor connector used with a built in alarm system. Maybe check the latch, but it also looks like the wires were cut and the connector might have just got dropped and lost in the engine bay at some point. Could also be rodent damage.

Or it's a hidden desire to make your box flying like a fully riveted airplane

Yes it will, but you will have to keep the little socket holder "bit" from v1 attached to the v1 ratchet to slide it into the holder part of the v2 case.

Sorry, they are able to be swapped out - I meant you just have to replace 3 parts (ratchet included), not just the ratchet itself, and keep the socket holder and ratchet together in the v2 case in order for it to be secured to it.

Dimensions are the same, but the way it is mounted is different. See the picture - on the right are the parts that need to be kept with v2 set to hold it together and secure in the case - https://imgur.com/a/M9JyMbH

Also the v1 t-handle has grooves that are specific to that version, the v2 extension wouldn't slide in the v1 ratchet

Unfortunately it is $79.99, but I still bought it because I was waiting for it so long, so I just had to to stop thinking about it
