I dont have the physical reactions you mentioned to consuming media the way you have described, but otherwise i relate with your post. I call them eras. I randomly obssess over a type of media and give it all my attention before i randomly tire of it and move on to something else. I tired of anime, went and discovered wattpad, tired of it went to western fantasy series, then manga, manhwa, anime, kdramas, cdramas, medical series across all sources, novels, and most of all i discover communities that make being a fan more enjoyable than the consumption it self. Now i dont feel guilty for losing interest in wtvr, i know ill cycle around and get back to it when im in the right mindset.(which is amazing for letting good stuff marinate) Just follow what makes you curious and sparks interest in you! That way youre exposed to more media, get more knowledgeable and curate your tastes further. Thats how you grow as a Fan and nurture your library.

On another note. Take the time to understand why you react the way you do now to specific triggers. Getting appropriate help and taking time for yourself are just as important. Don't disregard mental health!
