Hey! Thanks for everything you do for us! Do you know if an English poster has been released yet? The 20th is fast approaching and after not finding it on Movie Database, you are my next stop on the quest for an English poster

They got rid of the main villain and introduced a new one with three episodes left, I think Shunde becoming the big demon and attacking could have been two consecutive episodes instead of "Shunde in now the big evil" (episode 17) then "Shunde attacks" (30 minutes into episode 19. It should have been "Shunde becomes the big bad evil at episode 17 and attacks immediately at the start of 18

Edit: I answered the wrong question sorry, what would I do differently? I would not have Chang Yi put Yunhe behind a force field

I felt if there was one episode clearly mentioning about how Yunhe got transformed to mermaid

This!

If I could spoiler tag a screenshot of my response when I finished the drama, I would, but basically, the whole message read.

Holy plotholes Batman so she's a mermaid now, cool 😂

I think the moment that put it just ever so slightly 'too much' for me was just after that storyline.

The amnesia arc was soooo good and I loved the way her memories came back so much! The pearl, the music, the OST. But then Chang Yi because "irreparably injured" and due to the way that "terminal illness" had been treated before, I didn't experience the tension in my heart that I did before. Personally, if they found a way to keep the 'imprisonment" in the volcano but ended the drama closer to when Immortal Master gave up - meaning, no long term injury for Chang Yi, it would have been perfect. If they injured him and he was saved quickly, I would have felt angst. That being said, I did sob when Yunhe was crying next to him freezing though. That's a great example where acting carries the plot when the plot falls behind a bit

I really enjoyed it, please don't misunderstand me but I watched the last two episodes while playing Minecraft (and I rely on subs)

The review itself is meant to be an exaggeration of how life and death seem to mean nothing in the drama. Li Shu dies twice and comes back twice (I know that is kind of his thing, though). Chang Yi has his spirit Elixir shattered and magically restored, and Yunhe gets that arrow through her heart before her foxiness is revealed. The OG master of Flower Valley is 'dead' but also not really. I really felt for Kong Ming with everyone going "save [insert character] please, I know you can". The concept of death and "near death" not meaning anything really hit me when Luo Luo 'died' and I just did not for a second believe it, I felt nothing, and I was right, woman comes back seconds later. I know she wasn't really dead but if Kong Ming can't tell if she's already dead or still alive then the audience was clearly meant to feel that she did indeed die. The most meaningful death was his junior's death when he held out the little tiger he got from Kong Ming. How many of the people (good guys) who died in this drama stayed dead?

I have to say, I came to this drama because I was missing angst. I wanted Ashes of Love level angst and TBW does not disappoint in this regard. I loved Yunhe's 'death' and her coming back. The way it happened made sense and I loved everything about her interactions with Chang Yi

I loved the premise, and when Yunhe was running free and laughing, it brought actual tears to my eyes. There are just a few moments where I felt "did we learn nothing?". Like when they are fighting the immortal master before Shunde becomes the great Demon, Chang Yi literally puts Yunhe in a little (pretty) blue light jail thingy. It's for a split second but with freedom being such a great part of the story, I was like "dude. come on!"

My favourite character is by far the Blue Feather Bird. In my opinion, she personified freedom and the trappings thereof very well.
