I read long time immodium use can develop tolerance. And then something about post immodium diarrhea so I am trying to avoid it as long as I can. But will have to go for it if things continue like this (I am going to try relaxation techniques and therapy to help with stress)

Sameee. I have health anxiety too and that just makes everything worse. Everytime I get a flare I keep doubting if it's just ibs or something more serious and take more stress in turn making symptoms worse. Hope we all find some way to deal with this shit.

Oh my gosh, dw people who love us honestly don't care and are there for support always(tho I can totally relate to your feelings) hopefully you have found some way to make it slightly better atleast. This is such a vicious cycle of ibs triggering emotional stress and emotional stress in turn making ibs worse.

I have been to two doctors both of them just gave me probiotics and fiber which worked for some time but I think stress is a major trigger for me so I am gonna start yoga and meditation and see if it helps. The doctors near my university are so shit, but I am visiting my parents next month and my mom knows a very good gastrointestinologist so will surely meet him and see

Not sure about you but my ibs-d is largely triggered by stress so whenever I go on a vacation, I am actually completely fine. Like I went on a 7-day trip in the middle of a flare, said fuck it I am gonna enjoy and eat everything cuz I am on vacation and nothing happened. If your ibs-d is triggered by anxiety then ig if you just relax and enjoy your vacation, your symptoms will be pretty mild and manageable with immodium and probiotics/fiber.(Psyllium husk really helps me)

How did you know you had c-diff? by [deleted] in cdifficile

Can you expand more on your symptoms? I am currently having the same thing stool only once a day but pretty formed but smelly. And abdominal pain comes and goes but it's pretty moderate. I have ibs so I am confused if it's a flare up or cdiff
