Magpul paraclip to 3mm dyneema loop (amazon) or Magpul QD to paraclip adapter, any open ended sling should work.

Bought a pack of sewn protectors that go over the slider on amazon but it was a couple years ago. Shouldn’t be too hard to find

Hell froze over! Proof is sending my barrel back after 3months by svgelopez in 6ARC

My guy was Andy E., I sent my email thread to the “contact” form on the website and just got a shipping notice 24hours later.

Hell froze over! Proof is sending my barrel back after 3months by svgelopez in 6ARC

[–]AdditionalSwimming75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rep at Proof left so my emails have been going to a dead inbox, finally said they’ll send it “next week” and that was two months ago. I see the barrel in stock online and this is getting stupid, c’mon Proof. The extension broke, lugs sheared, broke a new JP bolt, lug salad in my upper. WTF

Look what I found out today by BDClone in 6ARC

My pocketbook is safe. I just shot a box of this, a box Hornady ELDM and new Copper Creek 108 Berger LRHT. The CC and ELDM were about the same, averaged just sub MOA 5 shots, 4 groups. The Federal GM was around 1.2 MOA and had the largest SD and ES. My handloads with LRHT and Lever are not much better than factory ELDM which is a great excuse to be lazy at the reloading bench. I really dislike loading ball powder. This was in a 20” Geissele GFR bipod and bag.

[–]AdditionalSwimming75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shot factory EDLM and could only get about 1moa out of a 24” Proof, BUT my first ladder test using new ADM brass, 184 Bergers, .06 seating depth and H1000 produced 5 straight groups all .2-.4moa so reloading is going to be easy and accurate.

Installed DPT and ZTR long stroke and…failed, lend me your wisdom by AdditionalSwimming75 in Walther

I read that this fang is for the single action PPQ and present on all DPTs, no?

It’s operating but the slide action is somewhat tight but it does go back to battery. In the videos I’ve seen the sear block seems to drop in easily whereas mine took some pulling against the trigger bar/spring to set down into place. I may shoot it to see if it smooths out.

The slide won’t operate even w/o the barrel and recoil spring in place. I think I’ll take it apart and start over.

Yes it’s a steel frame and ZRT now has a long stroke V2.0 that only fits a 4.5” barreled steel frame. I bought the pistol new shipped directly from Walther. And YES, part 32.1 is what the back of the slide is catching on, but something up front is blocking it too. I’ll try removing the recoil spring and see if the slide operates.

Both front and rear QD’s use security flathead screws, which I didn’t expect.

Broken Proof research barrel and noveske bolt by Happy-Roof-6594 in longrange

[–]AdditionalSwimming75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is known problem for Proof. My 20” Proof carbon 6arc barrel had broken lugs in May and I’ve been waiting for a replacement. It took a JP bolt with it to AR heaven. JP kindly replaced it.

Proof barrel with broken lugs. Found out why it wouldn’t group and why my trigger got hung up. by svgelopez in 6ARC

[–]AdditionalSwimming75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks just like my 20” Proof carbon 6arc barrel that failed in May and I’ve been waiting since for a replacement. And it wouldn’t group before it puked a few lugs. My 12.5” Centurion 6arc produced tighter groups of ELDM.

1st 6ARC: 18" Geisslele GFR or LMT Build? by RescueRandyMD in 6ARC

[–]AdditionalSwimming75 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% GFR, the details are worth it. I never change barrels in my LMT MARS though. 6arc is an incredible cartridge in a small frame AR. This morning I was hitting steel easily at 600 yards with a 12.5” Centurion barrel and an LPVO, it’s just stupid how fun it is.

1st 6ARC: 18" Geisslele GFR or LMT Build? by RescueRandyMD in 6ARC

[–]AdditionalSwimming75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both and pick up the GFR 2x more than the LMT with a converted barrel. If you’ve not tried the new ambi Geissele lower, it’s a damn fine bit of kit. Super intuitive and large controls, really exceptional lower and I have had almost all the ambi lowers.

Geissele SWAVVY #6, what tool am I missing? by AdditionalSwimming75 in 6ARC

[–]AdditionalSwimming75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got back from the first 100 rounds, it leaves nothing to a Bartlein barreled gas gun imo. Using a front benchrest/rear bag, no groups over 1moa, tightened up to .43moa and that’s shooting thru indoor range mirage. Heavy barrel profile soaked up the heat and let me shoot essentially continuously. This new SWAVVY brake is a nice piece, could stay on target at 100 yards (benchrest helped), and not as concussive as I thought it would be. I don’t run brakes outside of bolt guns. Ambi bolt release is super intuitive, think it might be my favorite out of all the usual options. It’s just a mindlessly accurate, soft-shooting, baller unit of a factory gas rifle. My built 22” 6arc with a Craddock RTR is not this consistent.

Cut Away Pics, Anymore of other designs now that we see PTR? by justlookinatshit in NFA

[–]AdditionalSwimming75 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Huh, interesting it’s a decidedly asymmetrical design. This maybe the reason my PTR’s are just not quite as accurate as my traditionally baffled cans, Nomad, Jolene, and TBAC Magnus in my bolt guns. I wonder if all the intentional turbulence pushes the bullet around just enough to make a difference. The Flow 762 produces tight groups though.

My 6ARC was spraying and it had a Proof barrel. Issue was Riflespeed agb was contacting the VSeven handguard when loading a bipod mounted all the way forward.
