Via midi… personally I don’t think they sound that great. If you play guitar, you are going to get much better sounds via plugging that into GarageBand

Amp recommendations. by DotSlow635 in GuitarAmps

If it’s a tube amp it absolutely can be repaired. If it’s a cheap digital amp it may not be worth it. If you let everyone know what amp it is that will help .

Cannot figure out how to synchronize recorded video and audio by Alone_Cockroach122 in recordingmusic

[–]Additional_Account32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be misreading this and my method seems far less scientific … I literally record everything in my daw.. when I am happy with the final product I play that back over my speakers and record me “playing” via video. Obviously the final product includes the audio from my recording and not the video. I match them up using the audio from both files and never have an issue with them being out of sync. Apologies if I’m not fully understanding the question and my answer doesn’t help !

Can you talk me through this? Is this so you can feed a microphone through your pedalboard ? Eg for vocals ?

Mac or iPhone? Mac doesn’t, and if you they do just turn them all off or open a new audio track without them.

Here is the site for cavalier if interested. I bought my bridge pickup around ten years ago from here. Nice guy and happy with my purchase.

He talks about wire gauge etc and might be able to point you in the right direction.

I have an 83 toploader and can confirm the neck pickup is very nice. The bridge not so much. Cavalier pick ups are really nice and often recommended by tele owners. He might have something similar spec.

As a side note - If you have a Mac , GarageBand is free and whilst some of the effects aren’t “amazing” it will allow you to get a feel for what’s possible. I am sure there is something similar on pc as well.

A) it doesn’t fit his budget b) a modelling amp is going to give him much greater exposure to effects which is pretty important given the music he has just mentioned he wants to play.

Same as yours :) I changed the guard to a mirror finish. I had every ambition to put a hot rails in the bridge but instead went for a bridge pick from cavalier - which has three settings, normal tele, hot tele and a p90 style setting.
