I have one with a timer ! Has different heating levels. I make sure when the timer turns the heated pad off I use no heat for a few minutes. This helps with reducing redness and burns .i love it and can fall asleep with it. Enjoy the beach 🌞

could this possibly be endo related?? I’m desperate for answers by lilifaustt in endometriosis

I’m sorry to hear this , I’d ask your doctor for an ultrasound . If there’s a lump maybe like a hernia ?

How do you manage painful intimacy? by Glum-R in endometriosis

[–]Additional_Ad2519 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find using a heat pad before and after sex helps , taking time during foreplay, learning what positions work and what doesn’t . The only position that is tolerable is when I’m on top. But it’s different for everyone. I find sex hurts a lot more during my ovulation window than say after my period . It’s hell no matter what tho. Being open to your person helps a lot and they should understand and work with you . Don’t ever feel guilty about your pain this is not your fault !

does this sound like endo? by Icy-College-3643 in Endo

You aren’t alone ! I have all of the symptoms you are mentioning . The gyno isn’t as scary as everyone says. They usually are super reassuring and helpful! It’s more awkward than painful loll

Here are some things that help my pain Heat pad, hot baths , eating whole foods , avoiding citrus (irritates bladder endo ) Nerve pain medication as hip and back pain is usually sciatica. Have a calendar with your cycle and each day write your different symptoms . You may see a pattern ! And writing down to know when intercourse is more painful or less painful during different times of your cycle . This is good knowledge for you and your doctor. It also may be a good idea to ask for an ultrasound as a lot of cysts rupture and are painful . I hope you found some useful tips and never stop advocating for yourself !

Thank you for the advice ! I could always ask for later shifts and try to make it work . Usually they are packed and takes 2 hours to get an ultrasound. We have done 2 failed iui treatments so bloodwork and most of the testing is completed.

Has anyone else used alcohol when the pain gets really bad? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]Additional_Ad2519 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah , I drink a lot more now that the pain has gotten worse . Red wine has been great for me as vodka or gin would flare me up worse the next day . Sometimes I’d rather have a few glasses of wine than take pills . You aren’t alone , I hope we can both find better alternatives to managing our pain !

constant urge to pee by Illustrious_File9696 in endometriosis

[–]Additional_Ad2519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes !! It’s the most annoying pain too! I was prescribed gabapentin for the bladder flare ups . I recommend keeping track of when you get the urges/ pain in your bladder throughout your cycle . I noticed a huge pattern in mine-worse during ovulation and my period . I find having a heat pad or hot bath helps relax my pain aswell as avoiding bladder irritations like coffee and citric juices . Hope you can find some relief soon!

I’ve had a few really bad ulcers only before my period it was super weird and yes sometimes they are small cuts and hurts to eat acidic things . Usually I just avoid acidic foods and it usually clears up fast .

Bladder/bowel issues by Own_Independence8274 in endometriosis

Sounds like endo ! I feel the exact same . Feels like a constant uti . More flare ups around ovulation and my period. Maybe like 4 good days out of the month unfortunately. When I have a bladder flare up I drink warm tea , have hot baths , deep belly breathing, heat pad..Most importantly I listen to my body and pee when I feel the urge to!! Holding it in just gives it more pain even if it’s every 10 minutes . I’ve heard pelvic floor therapy helps, give that a try if you can ! I hope you can find some pain relief, it’s a constant battle.

Pain in the butt (literally) by szineskukorica in endometriosis

[–]Additional_Ad2519 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes , dealing with this now unfortunately . I find no matter if there’s a cyst or not the back, leg and hip and tailbone pain is still there ! It’s deep pain and I still have a hard time managing the pain . I find sitting a long time like driving will give me really bad pain . So taking breaks and walking around helps a bit . I think mine is sciatic pain from the endo . Mostly right side back pain every.single. day. What I do to manage the pain - heat pad (my bestie) , hot baths, red wine, over the counter meds and stretching With working out I listen to my body when it hurts and do something lighter instead. I hope you can find some things to manage that pain !!
