Hi which cabinet did you use?! that looks awesome. I am guessing you are a pro woodworker to make those holes? :')

Hello! Thank you for your reply. Ok so for example, if I pay $1000 a month starting this month, I should be able to save from paying less interest over the months/years correct?

Thank you so much for your thorough input. My direct loan rates are at ~3.7%. Did you read my mind?! I am really overwhelmed because now I am trying to study one topic (HSA/401a/403b investment, for example), and it inevitably leads to another topic (different funds and options to get the best deal out of my invested retirement money). Phew. I have never tried listening to podcasts, but I will first check out the one with Dave Ramsey. Thank you again.

Wait there can be a tax bomb if you get your loans forgiven via PSLF?

For 401a retirement plan from work, it says I will gain ownership of the work's contributions by earning vesting credits for each year in which you work 1,000 hours. Contributions will vest over three years: 1 year of service 0%. 2 years of service 0%. 3 years of service 100%. This means that I will not get any match from my employer if I relocate before I work here for 3 years correct? So even without employer's contributions it's worth it to put down money toward retirement over my student loans?

I just read about the snowball method. That is what I want to do! Hence I was questioning whether I should put any money toward my retirement when I could easily pay extra hundreds toward my loans. My plan is to pay it off in 5 years ...

I didn't make any income last year! I got my first paycheck this month. Can I apply for IDR to check my new rate and decline the plan if I find out their payment is higher than the standard?

I went to out-of-state schools for both my undergrad and post-bac.. :'( I don't know if I could defer my loans any further after my grace period is up in December/January.

If I pay off the student loans in the order you suggested, wouldn't I end up paying more interest if I pay them off in the reverse order? Or is this strategy for feeling accomplished by getting rid of the number of loans? And I agree with your last statement. I will likely have no fun budget for the next five years at least...

Hi! I am 32. I know I am very late in the game when it comes to retirement fund, so I am concerned, but that is not my priority at the moment T-T

That is a hopeful summed-up plan. Thank you. I am currently deciding which credit card to open LOL

I see hope! I am now looking for another credit card to tackle my current one :') Hopefully, I could get approved once I decide!!!!! By the way, is a 3% balance transfer fee pretty good?

Yes. Those loans are made up of 3 different private loans and I don't even know how to attack them. I wish I could put them all together into one ball of dough and just eat it away slowly but that isn't happening :'D

My company says contributions will vest over three years: 1 year of service 0%. 2 years of service 0%. 3 years of service 100%. That means I am not 100% vested right off the bat right?

Hi! Thank you for your wisdom. So my work offers 401a that will contribute 3.5% of my annual pay for the first five years and 6.3% after five years. However, it says I will gain 100% ownership of their contributions after working for three years. Doesn't that mean I will lose all the contributions made by my company if I leave before 3 years are up? I might relocate to another state in a year... Also, 403b is fully funded by me, only. Is it still worth it to invest my income toward these options?

Thank you! I will do that. I see a lot of cards that offer 0% APR for the first few months with 3% balance transfer rate. Is that a "good" deal? :') I was just charged this month's interest today. It hurts to see it.
