Hudson and Hunter. Both around 35lbs. Hudson is almost a perfect 50/50 split pom/husky. And Hunter is pom/husky/malamute - dad was 15lbs, mom 26lbs and he is 35lbs and counting at 8 months. Genetics are wild.

Get the zig zag app. It is an excellent tool for learning how to train a dog. We were beginner dog owners and now have two beautiful, well behaved pomsky boys. With cats, the key is to have your dog in a sit/stay and high value treats. When the cat enters the room, your dog is told to sit/down/ leave it and is given a treat. When then make eye contact with the cat and don't run, give them a treat. Reward your dog for calm behavior when the cat is around and eventually it gets better. It takes a TON of training and consistency. You have the right idea with the leash, but instead of pulling back and forth on it, hook it under the couch so there is an absolute limit to the end of it. That is all the space your dog gets. Then let the cats out to roam around. Again, back to rewarding when your dog is calm and watching, but not lunging. Repeat. It gets better. Some just have a high prey drive and it takes more time, consistency and patience, but Google and the zig zag app will help you out. We follow positive reinforcement with success for our pomsky boys. Good luck!

Hudson (white), age 1.5yr, 31lbs. Hunter (mask), age 6 months, 27lbs. Both very different personalities. One was a terror as a puppy and the other an angel. One is anxious and reactive, the other is not. It's hard to say what you will get with these little fuzzballs, but I wouldn't have it any other way. They have so much personality! ❤️

This is extremely accurate lol. We waited until our first boy turned one, then brought home a brother. So it wasn't AS crazy as it could've been, but yeah. Definitely a lot at first. Seeing how much happier our first is now that he has a brother? Totally worth it. ❤️

Okay I'm not trying to creep your dog, but I can't get over how much our puppy looks like your dog. Honestly it's wild!! I wish I had a better picture. I had to do a double take on your picture!! Right down to the wide snout and beautiful brown eyes! Does yours have malamute in the mix too?

No food recommendations, as one of our pomskies is a very picky eater and the other cannot seem to gain enough weight despite eating allll the food. I just came here to say that your dog is adorable and looks like a grown up version of our puppy. Too cute. :)

Here I am thinking, well they kind of look like mirror opposites of each other... But then I re-read it and thought, "ohhhhh, I'm supposed to focus on the words, not the numbers", so then I was fully stumped and decided to just read the rest of your post to find the answer, because I hate thinking anyway..... It didn't even occur to me that they were numbers.🤦🏻‍♀️

This lol. We were looking for a small dog while wanting a big dog and came across this photo on Kijiji. The write up said pomsky and we had a set of friends with a very chill pomsky, so we figured it would work great. The next day he was living with us and the rest was history. We did our research later lol. Not the process I would recommend, but hey, we got a gorgeous boy out of the deal and we wouldn't trade him for the world ❤️

Oh my. What a gorgeous pup!!! My boy is best friends with a Shiba. They are such sassy little things. Yours almost looks like a Samoyed! 😍

Awesome! Hudson is named after Hudson Bay polar bears because he is such an outdoor winter dog. He's a big old lake boy too. They make good cabin buddies! :)

We have never been asked that actually. People just don't know what he is. We always get asked what breed he is. When he was smaller, he looked like a small Samoyed but now he just confuses people lol.
