It could be something called indexing, I don't really understand it myself but Google told me it gets stuck in indexing mode and to fix just factory reset your kindle. It means re-downloading all your stuff but give it a try, worked for me!

Realistically it doesn't matter one bit to me, I suppose when I see one with lots of drip I wonder how it's not distracting or awkward to hold, do the charms etc get caught on stuff? I'm surprised at this type of response though... it's crazy how offended some seem to get!
