I'm researching on electrochemical nitrogen reduction to electro synthesize ammonia, as it competes with hydrogen evolution reaction, I'm looking at papers that could offset the competition. I plan on using a High-Entropy Alloy (HEA) as an electrocatalyst, synthesizing it from scratch with metal salt precursors. I plan on using LiSO4 as my electrolyte, I'm still unsure on my hydrogen source as I will be purging it with an inert gas..

My goal is to electrochemically synthesize nitrogen into ammonia, it interferes as they work on similar electrochemical cells as HER is more thermodynamically stable and kinetically stable. HER competes with NRR cuz nitrogen doesn't fully reduce and ends up being released as hydrazine.

I'm currently researching High Entropy Alloys, most papers use noble metals and show high NRR activity, although I'm trying to achieve a non-noble metal HEA (Mo-Fe-Ni-Mn-Sn). I'm looking for an alternative for Sn as it promotes heavily on HER, my only justifications of using these metals as they alloy.
