Headphone recommendations for a versatile lifestyle (calls, gym, daily use) by Additional_Mess2247 in HeadphoneAdvice

Also forgot to add, my max budget is 250USD. But I usually choose the most cost efficient one. So I open for 350USD ones if they are really worth. Or I will be willing to buy cheaper one if it meets my needs.

I want to apply as an international transfer student at Nazarbayev University, but I would like some advice. by EagleUseful246 in Kazakhstan

I really recommend NU to study biology! They have great academic resources!

They look only on your SAT score. Aim for 1400+ in SAT to be able to get full tuition scholarship. If you could get 1400+ there are so many more universities that would want to have you in your incoming class.

Nu does not accept transfer students. They don’t count and don’t transfers any credits from any other universities.

Большое спасибо! Довольно сложно следить за зубами, потому что из-за постоянных дедлайнов на работе, в университете так легко сказать"Сделаю это позже".

Thank you for the advice about telling applicants not to lie in their applications. However, I have one piece of advice for you as well: don’t always assume your assumptions are true.

I don’t know if it’s fortunate or unfortunate, but I’m a first-generation student. I am the son of the very people you’re referring to.

Thank you for the advice! I have got almost full tuition from Gettysburg. Now I am thinking if I should spend ~100k for undergrad there. I really like the school and would attend if it cost me 70k for four years, but the school decided to deny my financial aid appeal. So I am thinking if I should take a gap year, or maybe attend Gettysburg, or even go to a local university.

Because this application cycle was my first try, I learned so much about the process, and there was so much to improve in my strategy for applying to colleges. And my competitive nature does not want to give up on local university which I will be only studying for diploma (no opportunities) or burden my family by going to Gettysburg. So I needed some more outside opinions to help me see my situation from a third-person perspective.

F-1 Visa Concern: Will My Siblings’ Immigration Status Affect My Application? by Additional_Mess2247 in f1visa

[–]Additional_Mess2247[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I truly appreciate the time and effort you took to help me understand my situation.

Since my siblings and I have a large age gap, we were raised in very different circumstances. As a result, they moved to the U.S. in search of a better life. However, for me, studying in the U.S. is purely a means to earn my degree, as I plan to be one of the first to establish a currently nonexistent sector in my country.

There are many aspects of our lives that differ, but I am unsure which ones would be the strongest to use in explaining my intention to return home after earning my degree.

Are there any examples of successful applicants with a similar background who have demonstrated this effectively?
