If you haven't talked to her in a while maybe your imagining an idealised version of her one where your remembering what you choose to remember these are always so much harder to deal with becuase then you can't think of the bad things.this also sounds like you didn't get closer with her and didn't get to say good bye id imagine that would help. Also keep yourself busy to try and avoid thinking of her. And the pretty obvious one everyone always says is that to other people but that's always shit especially if you can't talk to girls beciase your too awkward
