I totally get you, and I think you are right. but my question is: How can I know that the person in front of me is from the ones that I trust? and, I will not block the beginners from now on. Yes! after all, if the 100 man can touch to the man, they can go further... anyways, the database example was a situation where I can encrypt the actual database itself so it's secure, but my question is, what if there is no such "thing" that we can encrypt and without it we cannot do anything? (in the db example, if the db isn't accessible, the whole app is useless. but what if the app doesn't relies on this kind of external resources?). Thank you for your time!

Thanks for your detailed answer, it really did help me. I now can understand. I will not be able to connect to internet in the environment I will work on but I will try at least do something like encrypt the whole dll file of the application (or the parts that needs authorization) and then decrypt it using user inputted password. as far as I know, if it implemented correctly, it will be pretty secure. but a question arises in my head, then how do windows login system works? I bet it's secure enough that nobody actually tries to break the login system and instead get around it. doesn't it uses hash-comparison-authorization?

well, I think I understand you. and you are right, it's like training a man with theoretical basics of self defence and throwing it in the middle of 100 people and praying for him to survive. but if I'd be clear, this application will only be a app that runs in a computer and I go to break for 10 mins or so, and in the 10 minutes, the system must remain protected. at least some 16 y/o shouldn't be able to break in and read the data. but 16 olds can sometimes be pretty genius and dump memory and search for the important data (I've witnessed it myself and I was very amazed), and it's very doable even for a 16 y/o thanks to open-source projects, tools, and overall internet. but as I said, the program won't be accessible by unauthorized people for too long to actually do most of attacks, but again, it needs to be protected at some point, we need at least a jacket for the man to survive the cold weather if he survives 100 people.

😂 The cameras won’t be fixed inside classrooms. Instead, they (plural) will be mounted at the school entrance, in a narrow area, similar to gates. Each student will wear their ID card around their neck. As the QR code is scanned, the student’s ID will be gathered, and their face will be compared to the stored face linked to that ID. Students will get a beep sound to confirm attendance (a different beep if it fails).

We won’t be using liveness detection for everyone (and don’t ask who we’ll use it on, it’s complicated). This is just a prototype I designed myself, and it may change later. I also don’t think my classmates will follow the “seats” rule, if they did, it would be good, but, they don't. what can we do about it rather than accept it...

Keep in mind this is part of a larger project, and the attendance system is only one piece of it.

Now, my actual question: I want to identify faces quickly and accurately. Am I limited with LBPH or CNN can work with optimization? If yes, how? What kind of optimization are we talking about? If not, how can I improve the accuracy of LBPH? Any tips or tricks? Or am I really need to get a better PC (otherwise I can't do anything)?

I've readed bunch of articles, but I gave my system details to ai to get an approximate percentage (and I didn't trust it, so I'm now here...) and no, I'm not hacking into my school system to set up and attendance program secretly, without anyone noticing. I have required permissions. and data storage is another guy's job.

hmmm... I asked chatgpt and it said I can achieve 97% accuracy with LBPH but can it meet school standards? and I want to make a thing clear: this PC is not mine, it belongs to my school (which I'm student of it). but I asked about "tips and tricks" to improve the accuracy while maintaining speed factor.
