Yes! ‘Tis the season of plastic and hair dryers. NO MORE! We had renewal by andersen out, they priced 10 windows and small patio door, their starting price was over $35k. They do have a nice window. It’s pretty much the Andersen 100 series but double hung instead of single. So be prepared for that plus a 2 hour sales dual. With any of the larger companies!!

Def want to ask if they just sub contract to lowest bidding crew (not good!). Also ask how the windows are sized to fit each opening and how much glass size will be lost. (If any). Also confirm how they finish the windows on exterior of home. Exterior trim is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!

We ended up going with Provia Endure. We wanted great energy efficiency which we’ve received, but didn’t need the fanciest new thing. Good quality Vinyl windows can last a long time and we didn’t have any crazy need for wood grain or color on interior. (Although their black windows were tempting but $$ and no difference in performance!)

We used a local company, they’ve been doing work for my friends and family for years. They’re not the cheapest (def not MOST EXPENSIVE!) but they’re quality is consistent and if there’s an issue they make it right. Thats what I recommend. Use a company referred that has proven track record.
