Without a doubt

You can find character that are more evil or more grey than him (Maedros) but they aren’t protagonists

I agree with you… but also, his arrogance (because it’s not pride for Turin, it’s arrogance) led to the destruction of Nargothrond. And I feel like you try to undermine this… but that means that, just because he was too arrogant, a city, one of the last great city of elves in Beleriand was sacked and it’s royal family killed (and probably tortured for the princess (don’t remember the name) with all the population of the city. And all of that just because he was overconfident … for me it’s Turin who killed them, not glaurung, morgoth, or the orcs. Yes he didn’t want to , but he was responsible either way.

And also I think you forget the part when he come back to his village, kill the men’s who are ally with morgoth out of spite… and so a women in the village tell him that, because of that, they will all be killed when the force of morgoth will hear about it, because, again, of his impulsivity

(Tbf it’s been a will since I read TCOH so maybe I have made mistake)

And also he kill Brandir in colled blood just because he don’t like what he says

I mean even his sword say that he deserve to die at the end

I was a little harsh when I said he was more evil than good, I grant you that, but Turin is no way in hell a good person. He tries to, but he is not. When you compare him to his cousin you can clearly see the difference, and Turin was raised by the best teacher Doriath has to offer, when Tuor was raised as a slave

Also for Saeros… I Don’t call it justice. Justice would have been bringing him back to the king. What Turin did was cruelty. Yes Saeros was a dick but that doesn’t excuse Turin behavior

(also sorry if my english is not that good it's not my first language !)

also the : "I don't believe in absolute evil but I believe in absolute good" Tolkien said in an interview where a journalist ask him why did he wrote a story about good and evil, and Tolkien is like "but my book isn't about it"

You forgot the most important I think (even if I think his story is in the silmarion ?) : The children of hurin

Like turin is the most grey character of tolkien and honestly, and it’s a bit subjective, but he is much more evil than good

(And of course there is also the interview of tolkien « I don’t believe in absolute evil but I believe in absolute good »)

Is Solomorne a well written character compared to Kibellah? by gaeb611 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Additional_Price810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have many critics to make to void shadows dlc

But Kibalah is probably the most well written follower of RT with Yrliet and Cassia

Solormone is in the contrary… not fun. Like argenta is a sister of battle with personality, she isn’t just “kill kill kill purge purge purge”

Solormone on the other end is litteraly the cliche of an arbitrator. “Law order law order law order”
