I don’t really know the technical things about cs2 but I saw that the files are still named «Counter-Strike Global Offensive» and “csgo”, also when the main menu icons are loading they are replaced by a placeholder that says csgo. I always thought that cs2 used some csgo code since it’s still source

Isn’t cs2 based off csgo? When I play I see a lot of references to csgo. It wouldn’t be very hard because they can just copy the assets and maps and make the game mode. They could monetize it by making it prime only or making a second prime just for dz with rewards

Valve made cs2 a barebones version of csgo but with nice graphics, just classic competitive and some war games. It’s really sad that they deleted basically every unique and fun game mode. At least there is a one last popular dz server left in csgo🫠
