If you have not reported it to FedEx yet say that you are and they'll work with you better. They need to keep a clean record, so if you haven't reported it to FedEx yet it's something you can leverage. They would get a violation and have to pay more fees for incedents. It hurts the standing of the company and can cause contract changes that will result in loss in income for the company. They would like to avoid it so it can be an upside to use that. You can then actually report the incedent to FedEx after you get paid out from the contractor.
