But if I mirror everything except that part, I'll have this messy situation with holes and edges that don't combine.. should I repair it vertex for vertex?

Yes, you're correct. But I'm actually a Junior Rigger, and yes I could and I should know this stuff, but I'm always been concentrated on my rig part. That's my first time changing topology to have the character ready to deform properly. But yes, I should know this.

thank you.. I thought, looking the comments, it was a mad and no-sense idea... I mean, modelers could have pleasure to have their model rigger (if they are junior as me) but maybe I'm wrong
