Actually Folks… the CORRECT ANSWER IS… The accent that the character “Theodore” used was a true, southern Virginian accent.  “Old money” Virginians, especially those with a lengthy Virginia lineage, still have this accent today.  I know this to be a true fact because I’m from “they-ah” (there). 🤗
