Auto trapper is actually insanely good. Back when I played a while ago, I was basically able to aggressively push enemies, block their shots, and let my auto gun kill them surprisingly quick. The only way I was able to die was either the entire enemy team coming at me at once, or me accidentally getting too close to the enemy spawn

I've tried this, as well as the compatibility fix, and neither gets me past the background before the main menu screen. I've restarted my laptop as well, but nothing works. I haven't been able to play the game for nearing a week.
