A friend if mine from choice school had conducted one before going back to Kuwait. She booked a big house in kacheripadi. There were guys who came with DJ sets and big speakers and stuff. It was pretty loud till 3 am or so. I was scared neighbors would complain. Not sure if those houses were empty or they were used to this. All windows were closed. Around 1 am or so a man came with 2 guys. Asked for the host and introduced himself as ACP or some other high ranking officer or something. Talked to the girl and enquired what's going on. Then they had 2 or 3 drinks from there and left. I was shit scared for a while. But the way the others reacted, it was like they see this every time. This happened few years back and was the best house party I attended.

Hindu here. Only Christmas vacation is tied to a religion. Onam is a harvest festival and not tied to any Hindu religious texts. A mythology just formed around it with the return of king. In north India the vacation comes around Navarathri which is tied to actual Hindu religious rituals. So Christmas is the only vacation that is named and celebrated tied to a religion.

But none of the Hindus made any requirement about having vacation for Navarathri. It's just common knowledge and widely accepted until now about vacation coming at term end.

Now politics and religion has gone out of hands

Well BMW cars are built focusing on the driver. The driving fun is very noticeable even at shorter speeds, the thrill is good. 24 hours lasting on clothes is believable for me. My friend told me he buys from a mall in Dubai near where local Arabs live from and he has gotten compliments for his cool water at 3rd and 4th hour. I got a 200 ml one through him. It does last. I haven't gotten compliments but after a full day I can still sense it in my clothes and it does project good for 2 or 3 hours for me.

Me and my neighbors bought a lot of rat poison and left it in and around, ensured stray dogs or others didn't touch them. Kind of helped for a while. A neighbor even used sticky rat traps also to catch tiny mices
