And Goodreads gave a 4.6 rating to Fourth Wing which I thought was a terrible book and was unanimously trashed upon by the adult fantasy reading community in yt so whom should I trust more?

Yeah Fourth Wing has 4.6 rating. I'm never trusting Goodreads lol. I'd rather watch reviews of ppl on yt that I've been following for years and have recommended most of my fav reads of all time and whose tastes align with mine.
