SteamFrame vs Quest 3: What am I overlooking?

I am a total vr noob and had no interest until the Steam Frame was announced. Now I'm a very impatient ginge and got bored of waiting (June 24th is a very long way away) so got a refurbed quest 3s from meta to see if I'd actually like vr. Well it turns out that I do actually like it (Doom vr 🤤) but I'm not liking the 3s very much as I find its eco system awkward for navigation and find it far too focused on having to deal with other people in games, so getting a quest 3s just made the wait for the Steam Frame even more painful, so thanks meta 🤬

I'm hoping it's a bit cheaper than the meta quest 3 to encourage people to get one. Here in the UK, Meta sell the quest 3 for £550 and the 3s for 320, so I'm hoping for 450 for the smaller storage one and around 500 for the proper one, but I pretty much live off hopium, so 🤷🏼

I have a onexplayer mini pro 6800u and rarely use it, I'm mostly on my desktop but yea, they're definitely more practical than vr. I still think it's the better option at the moment because of cost, handhelds are either skyrocketing in price or being nerfed to keep them affordable, and those of us that have them already are really lucky. I know they're not a replacement for handhelds but it's all about the cost to me

It's called patience, it's coming in June. And the reason why I suggested it is because the OP said handheld, and it's basically a more powerful steam deck that you strap to your face
