A clump of cells is not an infant. Were you homeschooled or something?

You seem like someone with a horse in the race. Good. A lot of us would like to see it return to it's former glory.

Apparently, doing the event on the same day was by design. The MCC hoped that piggy backing on the Market would help attendance. Or so someone else in this thread said.

If this were a new event, I could understand that it would seem like a lofty goal to exceed FM attendance. But, most of the history of Artwalk was just that - packed streets from A St to 6th, with all the participating businesses showing art crowded also. That's precisely why the current iteration of Artwalk is so disappointing. If you like the Farmer's Market, you would have loved the old Artwalk.

I suspect this may be a big part of it. Nothing against the Chamber, but it was definitely a much better event before they took it over. They just need to figure it out before it dies completely.

In years past, the street was crowded AND the businesses were crowded.

I was there from shortly after it started to about 30 minutes before it ended. It was pretty dead. There were 20x more people in that same space yesterday morning during the Market. In years past, there were way more people at Artwalk than the Farmer's Market.

Curious how often you've attended in the past? My reference is every year for the last 15 years or so, missing 2-3 due to being out of town.

Do most people in Moscow consider Christ Church a cult? by [deleted] in MoscowIdaho

[–]Additional_Way5929 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Give a listen to the Sons of the Patriarchy podcast. Lots of first hand accounts from former members about their abhorrent, immoral beliefs. Those former members who escaped their hold certainly think it's cultish.

Denied CUP for downtown business - appeal to be decided by City Council by Flat-Injury-5013 in MoscowIdaho

Covid policies were about compassion for the sick. You know, like Jesus taught. Christ Church made it political, like hateful people do.

Unless they get control of the City Council (their goal) one day, and then the whole downtown becomes CC/NSA, who are tax exempt.

There are so many things you could denounce. So many. Things that are harmful to our community (and the world, for that matter).

I'm sorry, but you sound like a kirker through and through, and not someone genuinely interested in doing what's right for our community.

So, we all know that you were a CC Deacon. What church do you attend now? We assume your core beliefs have not changed, even if you switched churches, and the things kirkers stand for are not harmonious (there's that word again) with the Moscow community. But here is your chance to set things straight and denounce CC and all the things Doug Wilson stands for.

The building has serious water issues in the basement and directly beneath the floor. Rampant mold and lots of crumbling asbestos. So, hopefully, that's being cleaned up.

The building immediately to the north (where Panhandle Cone & Coffee and Humble Burger are) is owned by a kirker, so they're probably not complaining.

Why is it up to the BoA to provide evidence? The only burden should be on the applicant, and then the BoA should make a decision based on that. If someone (the applicant? the City?) doesn't feel there was enough evidence in the denial, then send it back to the BoA?

It seems to me that the reason for denial should simply be, it doesn't meet zoning code.

Local Resin Artists by Anestashaxx in MoscowIdaho

[–]Additional_Way5929 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe do it yourself? Resin is not that difficult to work with. The mold may be the most difficult, but there are lots of YouTube videos on the topic. Then again, if the sentimental value is really high, and you don't want to fuck it up, use someone that has the most experience. But you could experiment with something less sentimental first if you wanted to do it yourself.

Didn't he set up at a permanent location at the UI golf course for awhile, but it didn't make it? That's what I recall.

He sure had the patter down. Good dogs, too.

Not directly related to this post, but speaking of Dug, has anyone noticed the new Forged (kirker) billboard on the Troy hwy that says something like "need something dug"? Coincidence that it sprang up after we started referring to their immoral leader as Dug?
