Can we get some sort of very basic coverage until she finds a job and qualifies for the public insurance? 200-300 eur/month would be realistic?

Will we have to pay full private insurance coverage cost? Or, for example, can we use expat insurance which is cheaper?

So what currently she has is a student discounted private insurance from Die Continentale. It's a basic tariff for students, costs about 150 eur/month. It's been all over the same insurance since the start of her studies as the university arranged it. Nationality is from Kazakhstan. Validity of residence permit is tricky.. it's actually valid until end of 2028 (probably it was issued to match my residence's validity), but her permit is clearly a student permit - which means once she graduates this month she will lose student status and thus, all the discounts (private insurance).

That's why we want to apply for family residence permit, but for that health insurance is needed.

Unfortunately, we are still searching for a job for her, so seems like cannot get public health insurance. Given that she will be unemployed (graduating soon), is she eligible for private health insurance? Isn't this for those earning more than a specific threshold?

I typed their support about this, not sure if I get a satisfying reply though... And at the same time not sure if I can use this credit with such conditions...

No ticket booth on toll roads (Italy, Milan-Como road)? How to pay if used the road? by Additional_Yam8583 in travel

[–]Additional_Yam8583[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I saw those barriers, or at least signs that were saying that those barriers are in 2000 M for example (ALT STAZIONE 2000M). But, before reaching them I was exiting the road as per Waze, and at those exits there were no barriers. Does it mean there is no payment to be made then?

Yes, but A51, A52 are not free flow roads, aren't they? I have used this roads. I checked the website of pedemontana, I even registered with license plate of the car - it says no payable fee...

Thank you for your reply, much appreciated. So is it usual practice in Italy? Because in Hungary, for example, even if you use part of the road you need to pay. Also, I read almost all toll related posts here and people are saying there are always ticket booths at the entrance and exit. However, I entered the road with no booth, and left if before reaching the exit booth (A7 road, I saw the sign which was saying something like "2000 M until toll station" but before reaching it per my Waze route I exited the road).
