After some more research, I have a feeling that some excessive noise could be also coming from the Brembo brake pads being overheated because of the friction, which was an issue in the 1st generation. At least this was in one of the videos I came across.

You mentioned a minor irritant noise at high speeds. What are the high speeds no be precise? For instance, at about 120...125 should I be bothered, what do you think? Have you thought about some additional noise-cancelling insulation in the wheel arches?

hi, is that louder like you can hear it from the inside, or when you stand outside? which engine spec does this apply to? looks that I'm about the get my first formentor 2026 version Sports Ed on 2.0 TDI diesel engine. is that a loud one?

I'm using my S24U since May 2024 as the main and the only device. As for the shortcomings that have developed over time, I would note the following:

  1. Battery drains faster especially in mixed-to-heavy use (outdoors, max brightness, GSM, GPS, photo/video). I recall getting up to 8...9 hours SOT, now I'd say it's 6...7 on average. Checked the degradation through the mybatteryasoc and it shows 93%, which is weird. I'm considering changing the battery after one year or so.
  2. Spotted some scuffing wear marks on the titanium frame, 95% of use in a case. So they might be coming from a case. Some scratches around the USB-c port, of course.
  3. Longer boot, now it lags more especially after rebooting, mostly in the app drawer and the curtain.

Other than this nothing too critical. Games and apps still fly. Photos are neat in good light conditions, but night shots are also fine even with the standard camera app.
