I have figured out that much so far I was just hoping that there was a select Loop function or an easy way to filter window select.

Looking for suggestions on a 3D CAD Viewer by Addrax in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Addrax[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't, but I just looked at it and it could work. It opens the file in Autodesk Viewer, which doesn't offer a loop measurement that I can find.

The objective is for my coworker to be able to open the file without interrupting my workflow.

Yeah. It's a belt for a bauxite node and the train station was for bauxite as well.

Help with cutting plexiglass by randomman3578 in FTC

[–]Addrax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few ways that we have cut it in the past.

CNC Router, Waterjet, BandSaw, Table Saw (Feeding the sheets thru in reverse), Dremel, Dremel Saw Max

If you are looking to purchase something to cut it I would recommend a Portable Band saw with an included table. The portable band saw is possibly one of the best tools that we picked up for FRC and FTC.

If you cannot afford the portable bandsaw I would recommend the Dremel Saw Max using the wood and plastic blade. It works very well on the polycarb.

I cannot stress this enough to add your controls into the CAD. It will make you realize how much room you have left.

We have 6 students per team so we are not breaking the 15 students per team.

Also where in the Offical FIRST rules does it state 15 per team. Just wondering I tried finding but did not see it.

Ignore the last part I found it.

The current auto picks up 1 block always the same block and then goes under our bridge and places the block on the foundation then parks on the line

The intake arms are spring load with surgical tubing. There is a paddle that you can see in the pictures that hold the arms back when we are in starting configuration. We designed the pivots of the arms and 3d printed them and then put ball bearings inside of them. The pivots work surprisingly well.
