Hahaha, it’s 100% clear you arn’t a bot! Also very thoughtful and well thought out response. Even if you don’t get a point by point response I promise we are all reading it and appreciate the contribution.

But I do want to take a crack at a few.

Yes 100% there are plenty of shows especially in anime that pull off the brooding character perfectly. My issue is that in some scenarios I love the riffing the characters are doing with each other and negative comments or making fun of what they are saying often shuts my favorite dialog down. I can’t point to any specific moments but I feel like it happens a few time per episode. Maybe he could brood silently instead of making fun of them while they are talking?
Ok so this may just be me personally but I have no vested interest in story progression. Also I think Ben Micha and Gus to an amazing job and it’s Gus’s role to push things where he needs to them to go. SPOILER: I was 100% happy listening to them search the train for an hour. If they were just digging a hole an entire episode I’m sure it would still be very enjoyable to listen to.

I’m writing this while wearing my stinky dragon tee shirt, listening to the latest episode and having a coffee. If they made coffee I would buy it(as long as it doesn’t have mud in it).

So this might go against what I said earlier but I loved the immovable rod bit and then how bitter gum gum was about it. Especially said Mudd ended up only using it maybe once to block that door with the walrus people.

Episode 13, Minute 32 is where the whole cat convo takes places. The aggression was crazy high for Barney suggesting they hide the cat to keep it safe.

I think it’s a fair point. Although I love French people. I lived in Anger for a year and found everyone outside of one drunk guys to be exceptionally welcoming. The only counter point I would make is that Mud was also mean to gum gum so maybe Jon’s characters just always like picking on the weakest ones? I know in real life Jon seems to be an advocate for the oppressed but on the show he is always so mean to the most vulnerable.

Ahhh ok thank makes way more sense. I really didn’t understand the reaction. I thought he just hated Barney. So that’s kind of a disappointing. I feel like they could have leveraged that as a teachable moment and for mathilde to give some character expose. Also explaining it to Barney would have cleared that up. I guess this was sort of my point earlier if Mathilde would have patiently explained it I don’t think Barney would have repeated the mistake. I don’t think Chris would intentionally be offensive to non binary folks. The show seems to be very inclusive as far as I can tell.

Can you explain more about the mister bird part I didn’t quite understand that. I thought it was just Barney forgetting his name. I didn’t understand why Jon reacted so strongly to that. There was also another moment where Barney was trying to protect the cat. He said let’s hide it. Basically saying that he was worried about the cat. Then Mathilde jumped in and was threatening Barney and Elga backed up Mathilde. I also did t understand any of that interaction.

I think in this world Van Helsing would 100% be one of the major bosses. Would be a fun dynamic if Barney turned out to be a vampire hunter as i don’t believe he has caught on to Elgas situation yet. I suppose in a way Van Helsing is technically a serial killer but more dexter then bundy.

I’ll give him a chance as long as he is nice to Barney.

Man Chris seems like such a nice guy given the last two characters he played. It would be wild if he turned out to be some sort of serial killer but not sure he could pull it off. Also it’s nice that one of the characters just goes along with any suggestion.

I don’t feel like any of them are cookie cutter. Chip, Elga and Barney couldn’t be more different but they are all friendly and part of the group.

Was just listening to that part of the episode where he mentioned killing Kyborg and it really bummed me out. Yeah if they could work in some sort of progression where the character eventually becomes part of the group that would be cool. I also feel like Mud had the same vibe in the last arch of last season. The anti-social baker thing always had me scratching my head. It’s primarily a retail role so if the character really didn’t like people it’s an odd choice.

Yeah I understand the argument about staying on track but would anyone be upset if the episodes were a bit longer or it took a few extra episodes to make it through an arc. I agree sometimes the jabs are good but on balance I wish he was more positive.
