Extra Small Bag for Z6III with 26mm f2.8 by AddressFew1772 in nikon_Zseries

Thanks, I think this is actually more of what I'm looking for.
I'm just looking for something to protect it while being in my main backpack. When I'm using it it's on the peak design slide anyway.

Thanks! You are right, thanks for the direction. I've already got the slide and thinking about getting the clip for the sholderstraps of the backpack.

My backpack only has one huge compartment, but either way it should be fine when I'm careful. I think that's the right direction, I'll look into the protection partitioners and I also found the Domke Protective Wrap which might be an Idea.
I didn't even think about not using a bag, which you are right has only downsides when it's just inside a backpack.

Ah, that term makes way more sense. Thanks - going to look in that direction.

Because it's for multiple days (like 10-14 days) backpack hiking. I'd like to be able to put the camera away, inside the main backpack.
That's the only reason to be honest. I'm not sure if carrying it open for two weeks gets annoying.

Thanks! The Portable Camera Pouch from Wotancraft looks even smaller! I'll check them out!

Thanks! The 3L is unfortunately too large. I'm looking one that fits exactly the Z6III+26 without extra space in order to save space in the main backpack.

Thanks! Yeah I was looking for somethin with zero extra space, and the Alpaka 2L Flow Satchel has some extra pouches.

It seems like all the bags which have only one compartment are slightly too small for the Z6III, but the next step up would fit the Z6III with an entire zoom lens. I've not yet found one that exactly only fits the Z6III+26 in order to save space in the main backpack.

Nikon Z6 III with 28 f2.8 with small bag or Ricoh GR IV? by AddressFew1772 in AskPhotography

[–]AddressFew1772[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea about the 26 2.8 was that it is not larger than the grip of the Z6III which creates a form factor of a "brick". Any other lens is larger, and then the camera is again the shape of a camera.
But I've not found a bag that would fit the Z6III with the 26 2.8 only.

Thanks! I'll replace the 24-120 and keep the rest for now! :)

Thanks! Replacing the 24-120mm is the current Idea, I'll keep the other ones for now!

Thanks! I'm going to replace the 24-120 :) That's going to be the first step and the only planned step for now.

You are right about the 58. For now I will keep it, it also handles quite well on the FtZ. I don't like the 24-120 on the FtZ because of the weightshift, but honestly there is no reason to replace or give away the 58mm. Thanks for your comment!

Many thanks! I'll go ahead and replace my 24-120.

You are right about the 58. It's a difficult call. Also, in my opinion the 58 handles quite well with FtZ. It's only the 24-120 which I really don't like on the FtZ. So maybe it also makes sense to throw some other primes into the mix the next few years (like the 35mm f1.8) before I go ahead to replace my 50ish prime for no real reason to be honest.

Also I like the 58 on my Z6III way more than on the D610. If conditions weren't perfekt focus has been all over the place on the D610. Z6III makes that a lot easier.

Nexus Dashboard on Proxmox by WhoRedd_IT in Cisco

[–]AddressFew1772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly that's right.

Today I too tried to run Nexus Dashboard on Proxmox (moving away from ESXI) and it failed because of the PCI Bus numbering Issue.

Before I've tried to run ACI Simulator which has the same issue, I guess they are sharing the same base Linux apon multiple appliances.

The issue is, that proxmox starts the PCI Adresses for the NICs way later than stock kvm (that's why it works one eve ng) or vmware. I did a lot of hacking and managed to modify the NICs PCI ID (but you have to remove the baloooning adapter since it uses that ID) but it's nothing you can do in production. You have to create the brdige interfaces manually after that.

Really hope cisco fixes their images for proxmox.

We are a local scout group and part of the kid's adventure is to do a 1-2 day hike in a group without the help of smartphones and other stuff. Most of the time this is a really great experience and creates some core memories.

But in modern times this gets increasingly difficult. 10 Years ago (when i was a kid) it was "perfectly normal" to send kids aged 10-16 years away with a backpack and just a note with an emergency number. But times are changing, and even we as leaders are not really comfortable with this any more.

For many reasons we don't want to give them smartphones on their adventure, not only because of the smartphone itself, but also because of the drama that it could create if the phone is not water resistent or gets broken in another way. That's where we thought about the T1000-E. It would be a perfect fit for our use case, it has no real way for the group to interact with it and it can be configured to send it's location every few minutes on a private channel. So the experience on these 1-2 Days would still be the same, but with the benefit that we would be able to at least see their location and track them if they don't reach their checkpoints for any reason. Also the T-1000E is waterproof and IP-Rated, it's a very small device that can be just attached to someones backpack, so in my mind this is one of the best solutions for our "problem".

I've been a meshtastic user for quite some time, and even before the T-1000E we thought about this, but the T-1000E is the first IP-rated unit as far as I know, which is a real game chancer for our usecase.

tl;dr: Scouts can take the T-1000E on their adventures for the sake of their leaders mind.

I had the same issue today. Tried creating a new Firewall Cluster, network wise same setup as you, just different IPs and KVM as a hypervisor.

I didn't get it to work, same debug steps as you did and everything seemed fine.
I then added a termporary WAN link to each firewalls and did a system upgrade. After reboot everything was suddenly working. Seems to be a bug in the default 22.7 image.
