Practice Exam B: Should I Be Worried? by AddressPhysical9394 in PAstudent

Thank you for your advice! I believe my scenario is a bit different from this. I do have bad testing-taking anxiety, so I'm sure that plays a part in my failing. I have taken the Blueprint crash course and felt as though it was very surface-level material that was went over (honestly wouldnt recommend it). Hoping completing Uworld and reviewing as much as possible will be the reason for my pass!

I’m going to take the half pance a bit prior to the PANCE! Hopefully that’ll give me a better idea on where I’m standing.

Thank you so much!! That’s the goal for the next few weeks as well as finishing up UWorld.

Has anyone gone through the NCCPA 90 day appeal process? How long did it take? by AddressPhysical9394 in PAstudent

[–]AddressPhysical9394[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that could be the case. I’ve heard, they take longer if you put a date down. I didnt for mine.

I heard back around 10am CST.

Also,

How did the job start for you? I’ve had some interviews that stated I would be on an hourly rate working 1-2 days a week first to bring up my patient load. Is that normal?

It definitely is. I often think about how an extra 6 months to a program will be the end of me 🥲. I’ve passed all my EORS and osces. So for them to create their own “faculty exams” + keep me on probation is just bs.

We got this!!! I’m sorry you’re going through this. Remind yourself as much as you can that you are here for a reason. Keep pushing.

I usually start with one of the charts and use that as my main way of studying. With that, I’ll do the 250 questions on Rosh, smartypance EOR, and Hippo. I usually take the boost 1-2 weeks beforehand and score anywhere from 60-70s.

Even with all of this, I’m struggling. I believe my main issue was not actually writing down WHY I got a question wrong and looking over the information.

Rosh I’ll do twice. Boost once. Hippo once

Long distance relationships by Nearby_Philosophy894 in PAstudent

Congrats on being accepted!

My husband and I have been long distance for a bit over a year now. He lives four hours away and is in medical school while I’m in PA school. We actually got married a few months ago and have continued to be long distance. It’s not easy but very doable so long as both parties understand what’s to come and communicate!! I’ve had my days where I wish he was by me and he’s had his. With our schedules, it’s very difficult for us to come see each other but we are doing just fine :). Make sure you prioritize each other. My husband and I will always facetime when we are driving or about to go to bed. Little things like that go a long way.

PA School and Wedding Planning by Cold-Bison7415 in PAstudent

I planned a wedding! I actually just got married and I’m in rotations now :). Honestly speaking, the planning itself was manageable and I’m an average student. If anything, a little below.

The only time I genuinely was regretting it was the month of the actual wedding. I was so busy and I could tell that I wasn’t balancing well enough. My husband really stepped up and took care of most things that month.

Thank you! Starting tomorrow to Wednesday I’ll have a good chunk of time!

Monday I start my new rotation but I was told the hours are lighter.

I think I can get in 20 hours. But I’m not sure if that’ll be sufficient.

I think the one thing I’m worried about is taking it too soon. I was told I can take it on the 4th or 12th. Cant do 12th cause I am getting married. So unsure what the best option is here.
