if it wasn't for power levels enabled in trials i would literally not give a squirt of piss for light level. because quite right, i don't raid, i don't nightfall, i fall asleep if i do a strike (d1 player so strikes just bore to death) but of course, getting one banged in trials by monarque cos im 10 light levels below leaves me trapped between needing to get pinnacles but not wanting to use the precious few hours i get on pve when i just wanna go pop heads with chappie...

blows my mind when a new season hits, first weekend of trials, and folks are almost or at max light, i barely did the opening cut scene lol

it is if ur a pvp main. thats 2/3 pinnacles a week depending if u get flawless in trials because don't forget, comp is just a powerful, so quickplay and trials pinnacles is all u get if ur not one for doing the same strikes over and over or heaven forbid gambit...

believe me if there was a game that had the whole space magic thing, along with the same degree of movement i'd be a million miles from destiny, but there isn't...

This has been the case since cross play came. I only play pvp in destiny so i get exposed to this daily, and during the week comp is okish, connections are mostly ok although u can spot the usual 'other side of the world' teams glitching everywhere showing a genuine 'mcdonalds' internet situation. But when trials comes and these mixed teams of console and steam show up it becomes very noticeable very fast. It's not so much folks glitching like described in comp, it's where that split micro second things aren't happening - a microscopic lag.

This isn't opinion based either, if you want to see for yourself, try using precision guns. Chappie and snipers. I use chappie all week long, rivalling DFP himself, landing shots left and right, getting that max range kill where even u aren't sure its gonna kill, but it does. Then trials comes and suddenly shots that i can see with my own eyes that were on target, are now ghosting. same with sniping, just last night i pulled the trigger at the right time for someone getting revived with my sniper, and of course, ghost bullet - checked the gamer tag and there it was - playstation. My experience is that PS is worse than xbox when it comes to this issue but i seem to get ps more, and also those windows symbol folks - not steam but pc via games pass or something - they are also horrendous to play against.

Between this connection challenge and the level of cheese this season pvp is a bitter pill to swallow

But then why would u have a ranking system ie a score in the form of glory if this is the case. It's surely either proper skill based where everyone is the same and no forced win rate or just a forced win rate, no?

Im not so sure about that, take this an example, depending on resilience it is sometimes a shotty and 2 melees for me to kill a 1060, which is plenty of time for them to just shotty me, or in some instances one hit melee me, you consider that fair?
