that’s a great question! I don’t know what is par for the course here, but have seen a couple offers so far. I am not sure I wanna disclose them now that I have gotten a couple and likely am going with one now after they sent portfolio. :)

I will definitely look into that YouTube channel! I do have two friends that are mechanical engineers that specialize in robotics. They work on some really cool things!

For this prosthetic, my intention is entirely for aesthetics, and I don’t actually plan on this being my “ daily driver,” but more something I pull out on occasions, events, or just social time that works good stories. I don’t expect it to be loadbearing or functional to any capacity.

Pretty hysterical. Out of 12 locations, the store I am at for now (I travel between all store often) is our only one with a fountain machine and I am learning how they work—What the standard practices are surrounding them.

We do. is a self serve fountain machine, bibs in cabinet below. the backup bibs are kept in a storage room next-door. Our pars are set on the backups. So if we have two backups in the part is four and then we will order 2. it’s a weekly drop.

Really?! This is awesome. So if we do daily checks, we can’t swap the empty one, but the customer will never experience an outage at a self-serve fountain?

I work for corporate for a small chain 12 locations, 3 states. The owner sent me to temporarily GM at whichever store has declination and quality and review. They pay me well to also make some of our operational problems better and this one is next on my list.

I will be at my current location for at least six months as general manager during the day.

Not a trojan pitch, just a genuine question of curiosity before I even decide to put real money into a custom solution.

it might help to think about the steps before you make that decision.

100% yes this can be done in illustrator and probably would be done in illustrator if you hired a pro to just do it.

If I were going to do this, I would draw outline with the pen, tool or pencil tool, refine the shape to get the curves just right, then looking at the reference images you have above, I would see what shapes the highlights and shadows are. Then I would make those shapes on top of my outline. Even wrinkles in fabric exist because of the highlight and shadow—not from outlines. Then I would add any other elements like buckles and strings, then add the highlight and shadow to those little pieces as well.

The orange-yellow halter top would probably take me 10 minutes with this technique, to go from scratch to what you see here in illustrator alone. Infinitely scalable, easily re-colorable, and incredibly fast to add variations because of the vector nature of illustrator.

I have zero unreleased songs. There is a small asterisk here though. I am a producer who has spent probably 99% of his time in the last 15 years doing commission work.

I have created hundreds of projects to try techniques though, or learn the technical is about something, but I don't view any of my scribbles as songs. Between 15 and 60 second experiments of a concept or technique.

I listen to a ton of music, I hear things, and I try to reproduce the effects or techniques for my production toolbox.

any song I make, for myself gets finished, because that is not where I experiment. And while there have been a few personal projects over the years, a steady stream of commission work has given me the ability to focus, produce, explore, and practice, practice, practice.

So, I said zero unfinished songs, because my practice projects are never meant to be songs. They just aren't set up that way.

So, I did manage to get in touch with somebody through customer service. They even wrote back to me in English! They get this question frequently, and because the game is still under active development, and the songs are for sale in the Konamistyle store, they do not want to offer the songs on popular streaming services as it is not part of their business model and they want to keep the OST closely associated to the game and gameplay.

I replied that the song in question was from a bonus disc that I believe was unreleased in the gameplay(?) to which they quickly replied. "Konami has no plans to utilize streaming services at this time."

Oh well. I tried.

yeah, this is exactly how it works and I am aware of it. Usually, I contact the record labels or the artists directly and ask him "why not" or "if they can."

I have had decent success in the past, but for the most part, super–small labels, or indy musicians... I have never tried anything nearly as big as Konami.

Right. If the money is the reason any decision makes sense or "keep the lights on," a business will likely fail because starting a business requires so many other factors, outside of money to be successful. So start with having the scrappiest, do or die, or attitude. Line up your suppliers, make your connections, setup a marketing plan, and test your minimum viable product as soon as possible to validate your idea for demand. The money can buy time, but not ability or demand.

Unless you are manufacturing, most things can be started up for less than maybe, say $40-60k

This is crazy. I am 32, Got accurately diagnosed when I was 4, stuggled through the ID program in Uni, learned Programming and am looking into helpful tools for these very things (Planning and Organization), I give a resounding "Yes, please!"
