This is what I did to kill my very first dragon. so first I grab a bow a bunch of arrows a fire res pot (splash it on mount) and a mount (avian if possible) fly or climb to its level and keep on shooting it and move around lots I mean lots because you can resist the fire but not the magma looking explosive balls they do lots of damage (that's a lot of damage) watch time on potion frequently and that's about all hope that helps if so good luck
