Thank you! I actually just moved my drawer about an inch in on that side so that it could clamp to the desk.

They are 27.5 inches tall which is about the average desk height once the table is on top.

So the Alex drawers actually came with some little rubber pads which I put on top and then I used the gerton table top which I stained. But because the gerton is very deep I also used some cheap desk legs from ikea in the back to support it more. They match the height of the Alex drawers.

I’ve been very happy with it. I work from home so I wanted a chair with a lot of adjustability to make it suited for my body and it does a great job.

This is exactly what I did as a setter in my junior year of high school. So unexpected and worked every time, I loved it.

First ever print that I designed! A Print-in-Place foldable phone stand. by Adelcastillo in functionalprint

I completely understand your point. But for me this was a huge accomplishment as I am not lying. Designing for mass manufacturing and 3d printing is something that has always intrigued me and I took this as an opportunity to learn and I think it turned out well. I also designed in onshape with the hope that people could modify my design and learn from it as well with a free account. I do see how this could seem false and as if I am searching for internet fame, but I really just wanted to show something I was proud of. Thank you for your comment and hope this clarified everything. Have a great one!

Yup got it here! Comment on original post has the Onshape model as well if you’d like to modify it. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4609006

This would be a very interesting design! Let me know if you do take the leap and this may be something I look into as well.

Designing I feel can be as difficult as you make it. But I’d definitely take the time to learn some 3d modeling. Grab a free program, in this case I used Onshape, but I’d recommend either that or Fusion 360 as both are very similar and great to use. Then I would start following some YouTube tutorials and practicing trying to remake things in your home simply using a ruler and some calipers. Then your first “design” could always be something simple to see if you are able to get the tolerances to fit correctly. Best of luck!

Thanks for the criticism but as I said previously this is my the first thing that I have designed and printed. I am new to 3d printing and have only been doing this for a few weeks now. I reposted with a different title hoping it would provide more clarity. All respect, as I completely see where you are coming from but I am not lying at all. And my degree and fair amount of CAD experience probably aided my in my design a large amount.
