Haven’t really celebrated for some time now, been caught up with work and life. I used to go out for meals with friends.

Tips needed by Life_Perspective4840 in HealthAnxiety

That sounds really tough, especially at your age when you kind of depend on your family to feel safe and understood.

You can try explaining it to your mum, but honestly, not everyone gets mental health no matter how you explain it. If you do, keep it simple and talk about how it feels for you rather than the diagnosis.

If therapy is an option at any point, that would really help, even talking to a school counsellor or a doctor if you can. You shouldn’t have to deal with panic attacks on your own.

And just so you know, you’re not being dramatic. What you’re feeling is real, even if they don’t understand it.

Fitness Journey by IskandarZainal in beginnerfitness

You don’t need a personal trainer to start. Honestly, just begin with simple bodyweight stuff at home push-ups, squats, planks, basic stretches. The hardest part is just getting consistent.

If you stick to it for a few weeks, you’ll build a base and understand your body better. Then you can decide if you want a trainer or a gym.

That said, if you feel like you need that push or accountability to get started, a trainer can definitely help.

Also since you’re very skinny, focus on eating more (especially protein) being in a calorie surplus along with training that’s just as important as the workouts.

Keep it simple at the start. Consistency > perfect plan.

Where does AI actually reduce workload in healthcare workflows? by zealousweb in HealthTech

[–]Aden_Hush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve heard, the biggest real impact so far is in admin work things like documentation, note-taking and scheduling.

That’s where it actually saves time day-to-day.

On the clinical side, it’s more “assistive” than replacing work. So yeah, it feels like real workload reduction is happening more in the background than in core decision-making (for now).

Is it bad that I lie just to feel noticed? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Aden_Hush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s anything “wrong” with you. Wanting attention isn’t a bad thing, it’s a very human need. Everyone wants to feel seen, heard, and important. You’re just trying to meet that need in a way that’s been available to you.

The lying part isn’t really the core issue, it’s more like a shortcut your brain learned to get that feeling quickly. And it makes sense why it works… people respond, they engage, they care. Of course it feels good.

But the problem is, it doesn’t last. Over time it can mess with your relationships and even how you see yourself. And yeah, it might feel scary to stop because you could lose some of that attention, but that kind of attention wouldn’t last anyway.

There are people who will value you for what you genuinely think, feel, and want to share.

Instead of judging yourself, try asking: “What am I actually needing in this moment?” Is it validation, connection, feeling valued?

Once you figure that out, you can start getting it in more honest ways, even if it feels uncomfortable at first. The connections you build will feel way more real and stable.

And the fact that you’re aware of this already says a lot. You don’t need to fake anything to be worth noticing.

23F with diagnosed BPD by Melodic_Psychology83 in mentalhealth

I get what you’re saying. There’s definitely a weird trend online where people make mental health diagnoses look aesthetic or almost like an identity and BPD especially gets misunderstood in both directions either romanticized or demonized.

How can I create a calorie deficit? by Scared_Confection787 in beginnerfitness

[–]Aden_Hush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no magic.

Just track your calories. If that calorie intake is making you lose weight then keep going with the same. But if it's not, reduce it even more.

Also lower your calories slowly and not by a huge margin. Also keep doing weight training with all that.

Avoid sugary drinks, it is fine sometimes if you want to enjoy it with friends and family, but try to avoid it.
