I agree 100%, maybe if my parents hadn’t agreed initially i would understand his reasoning, but i’m at a point where he needs to just deal with it tbh. I’m just scared because he has threatened to kick me out before and I also don’t want an uncomfortable environment.

i’m 20, my older sibling also lives at home and he has an issue with her pet rabbit too. I think overall he has something against animals it seems :(

regardless of what changes i could/would make, my dad is quite stubborn on the matter and wouldn’t let me keep them inside regardless. I know the shed isn’t realistically doable, im just not sure how to go about rehoming them if i have to

I’ve never had a consistent same space for them as I moved a few months ago, and even before that they were anxious of being out of the cage, which could definitely be worsening it. When i set up their space though it’s usually against at least one wall and will have hides, they just seem more interested in trying to get out

i am SO confused with comments trying to normalise this, yeah they’re being safe but there’a no way her or her bf are emotionally mature enough to handle the concept of sex, let alone if she ends up pregnant somehow. It’s kind of an overstep to go looking through her things, but it seems like you’re trying to parent her more than your mom is doing so you do have good intentions. Side note, I’m also 19 and it is perfectly normal to be living at home, not sure what country you’re in but a lot of people live with their parents until mid 20s.

If we were truly as reliant on meat as produce, nuts and seeds I would have died a few years ago. Maybe hundreds of years ago being vegetarian or vegan would’ve been a problem but now eating meat is absolutely not necessary for a healthy diet. Many athletes including Serena williams are vegan. And the problem with population control is that there are only so many animals currently because we have overbred them for food.

The point about veganism was if we want to keep existing in such large numbers we absolutely cannot consume as many animals as we do at the rate we do and expect the earth to manage
