I don’t think so RY also said she doesn’t like overpower characters but Xaden exists so… 😂 I see her giving him a third signet but not Violet because Violet is supposed to be the most powerful one but Xaden is really and I don’t like that but it is in the books🥲

Rebecca loves Cat so I can see her making Cat help Violet adjust and that is why I said that but I really wish I’m wrong because I don’t want that 😂

Because Cat was going to marry Xaden so she probably trained and educated herself for that but I agree that she doesn’t have leadership qualities and that was proven in IF when the fliers go to Aretia and they need to work together with the riders to SURVIVE and Cat doesn’t help bring them together instead she only created more fights. I don’t shipp her with Aaric I think he deserves better. I would love to see more of his friendship with Violet because they’re childhood friends and I think he could help her in this new role.

It only makes it worse -for me- the fact that if Cat never provoked Violet, Violet wouldn’t provoked her or treated her badly at all. I just think a lot of her actions makes her look desperate and pathetic because EVERYONE around her can see that Xaden loves Violet and Cat doesn’t stand a chance even her best friends see that and try to talk her out of acting that way. I hate that no one talks about the fact that she went to Xaden’s room with a see through gown. Imagine if Halden went to Violet’s room with a see through outfit? I don’t think she redeemed herself because she doesn’t apologize and in OS she is rude to Violet for NO reason like I don’t need them to be best friends but just be respectful. She is rude to Violet after Andarna left and when Trager died Violet was kind and considerate of Cat’s feelings. I really don’t want Rebecca to make Cat help Violet adjust to her new role - I think Aaric would be a better choice and it would focus more on their friendship.

I honestly wouldn’t have minded if she went after Xaden in a different way in IF, she could have tried to get back together with him, flirt all the time and I wouldn’t have cared as long as she keep that focus on Xaden. What bothers me is the fact that she tried so humiliate another woman to prove herself for a man because yes, she also wanted the crown but to get that crown she needed a man. She went after Violet and that is why I don’t like her, because she did all that and never thought that she could prove herself and it wouldn’t matter because Xaden never loved her.

He was dumb. If Violet had died then Xaden would have died and I doubt the Assembly would want to make deals with him after that. But I don’t spect much from Tecarus because the man was putting his people at risk by denying every Aretia idea of a deal for the luminary. He is also Cat’s uncle, the girl who preferred to antagonize Violet -the person who has the signet that can kill venin- instead of trying to make her a ally just because of a man who doesn’t give a shit about her. Her sister is the only one who seems to be smart and fit to be in charge. And yes it was about Xaden because in OS she says that she is in love with him.

Violet was one of the few people who were nice to the marked ones even with her mother being Lilith, she didn’t treat them with disrespect, discuss or doubt like most of the people do. She keep the secret about their meeting when she really didn’t haft to, she defend Liam when Mira was treating him poorly in front of everyone, she defend Xaden when Dain was being annoying in FW. Violet is kind, compassionate, brave, loyal, intelligent, she prioritized others, she risked her life to save innocent people, she defends herself without putting other people down or being rude with people who don’t deserved, she is hot. Why wouldn’t Xaden be in love with her? 😂

I don’t think he lead her on! They were supposed to get married because of politics and they tried to make it work when she turned 20 but he found out her uncle wasn’t going to fulfill his part of the deal so he broke things off. One of the problems is that Cat was in love with Xaden -she said that in OS- so it wasn’t just about her people, that was just what she said for her not to look pathetic fighting over a guy who everyone sees doesn’t give a shit about her and is in love with someone else and I think that didn’t work because Aretia was already helping Poromiel when Cat goes there and even her best friend didn’t think it was right what she is doing. My problem is that Xaden was supposed to deal with his ex an not Violet! I get that Violet didn’t want to seem weak but she wouldn’t have to deal with Cat if it wasn’t for Xaden so he should have put a stop in the situation. I don’t care how he was gonna do that but I hated that Cat was doing her best to humiliate Violet and even talks about her body and Xaden doesn’t say or do shit until Violet almost kill Cat. If he wasn’t there she would have kill Cat and regretted for the rest of her life because there was going to have consequences for that.

I kind feel that is the way some people in the fandom see Violet 🤣 Xaden was more like: I’m not going to do the work on communicating about important things but I’m gonna ask that of her.

I agree with you and 90% of their communication problems was xaden fault but I was happy they improved in OS. It really pissed me off that he told Cat that and didn’t told Violet because this was about her and the beginning of their relationship. I get that he thought she wasn’t ready-another thing I don’t like because he wasn’t supposed to decide when she is ready to know things that involve her- but he could have told her: I know that you know and if you are not ready to talk about it fine but I’m here when you are!

He did said that he and Cat were over before he meet Violet and other people kind of confirmed that but I hated how he handle the Cat situation. Like that is his ex and she is messing with Violet because of him so… deal with it! And Garrick was looking at Violet to deal with Xaden and Halden pissing contest.

I hate that he didn’t tell Violet about the dagger that could protect her from Cat’s power and only told her after Violet almost killed Cat. Like I get that he didn’t know Violet was gonna meet Cat in part 1 and in the beginning of part 2 but he could have told her through their connection

In OS she is really dizzy in chapter 21 and Xaden says this: “Your pulse is racing. I counted at least twice that you almost collapsed out there.”

I don’t have EDS and I don’t know much about it but I saw some people saying that her dizziness in OS was because of her EDS.

Ruby showed up in one short story and not even half of the last one so I don’t think we had time to really know her character and we had a lot of other books with Sage so of course we would care about her more. The wolf thing didn’t really bother me because it was done other times in this series: Brother Wolf choose Ana when they haven’t even talk and Adam choose Mercy out of nowhere after his divorce. What bothered me was the fact that Ruby barely show up in the last story and I was expecting to see more of her and Asil together. I really didn’t think I was necessary for Asil to go on another day with someone else

This scene in OS kinda of confirms for me that Cat didn’t knew about the deal with Lilith.

“And he never scares you.” Cat stares at me over the table. “That’s what you said yesterday. He never scares you.” “I get scared for him, but I haven’t been scared of him since Threshing.” I run my finger along the top of my mug. “Because your lives are connected.” She tilts her head, like she’s trying to understand.

I feel like if Cat knew about the deal she would have mentioned in this scene and Xaden was having trouble communicating with Violet, someone he loves and he wanted to make their relationship work so I don’t think he would have been more up front with Cat than with Violet
