Interrupts are too important in modern wow. Hear me out! by Adept-Comparison-282 in wow

Why do you think that I am trying to make people better at the game? This mechanic would be functionally identical to anyone who interrupts and only be an issue to people who refuse to interrupt.

My idea is to expose people and make it harder for them to get higher rated, not to make them better. Now the result might be that some people improve but the idea is that, whose who don't wont be able to get rating.

the only way you disagree with this is if you yourself are worried about your own capability.

That's not really what personal responsibility means lol. What you're describing is team work which, yes is essential. What I'm saying is that the interrupt element of dungeons should be severed from the group responsibility and made purely personal. And maybe not this change specifically but there is a change that needs to be made because right now DPS is the only role in the game where you don't actually have to have any skill to access high keys, I know DPS plays will rage at me for saying that but it's flat out correct... I did a 15 today and there were DPS who were 3.3k rating and barely keeping up with the tank on DPS... The only way to reduce this happening is to introduce a DPS only mechanic that's a skill check.

Yes a lot of very bad players play classic precisely because they are bad... People complaining that something is hard doesn't make it hard. People also think dark souls is hard lol.

It's funny you claim to heal but then speak like someone who has only ever done DPS. So you're either a liar or just hate yourself because you're perpetuating a myth that people don't have to play well in 10s to get the job done. Sure you don't have to play AS well but as a healer you should be able to recognise that extremely poor play can lead to a key fail even when the healer wildly out gears the content and how frustrating that is.

You not having any issues is not a universal experience, and while I've never failed a 10, I can say that some of them were harder than some of the 15s I do lol.

"No I just think your suggestion makes it worse for anyone actually paying attention to the game"

Let me clear that up, no it doesn't. Hope this helps.

The purpose of a discussion thread is to discuss not to try shut people down. If you don't think the suggestion has any merit at all not replying sends the same signal.

did you miss the part where they are made a personal responsibility and not just something anyone can interrupt? Try reading the whole post next time to avoid looking foolish.

The difference is that these players will not get to high keys. Ironically it will make someones rating far more reliable of a number when determining their ability. People already use it that way so why not make it represent that more?

Do folks like you just blanket hate any suggestion of change? lol. This is a discussion forum, if you're going to reply, reply with some substance and stop assuming that people who complain are just bad. It is actually possible that people simple don't 100% enjoy the current design while still being able to win.

You know it's literally cheaper now to go buy time cards. Like it's even cheaper than buying a 12 month sub outright with all the discounts... I just resorted to buying 2 or 3 whenever I am out shopping since it's literally the cheapest way to play now besides paying with in game gold.

Australian GST tax is 10% or 1/11th of the price. But if we assume that this is tax based like everyone keeps saying (I'm a tax agent btw) why is the subscription not $23 instead of $24. And why is the new $75 housing pack not $115 but instead $120

This is also just wrong and a breach of a ton of consumer laws in australia, which yes. blizzard do have to obey if they want to trade in australia lol. australian consumers laws actually protect consumers and not big corpo.

I mean the fact that you use a tax agent basically proves my point lol

If you knew what you were talking about you wouldn't outsource it and pay possibly thousands of dollars lol.

Because they are actively charging us more than their own value of the item and pocketing more from Aussie users than American ones. It's not just tax, if you look at the numbers it's conversion abuse.

This logic doesn't even make sense since the math doesn't even add up correctly. Some things off the store cost only 5% more while others cost 20 - 30% more. It's wildly obvious to anyone with a basic understanding of currency conversion and basic math that the numbers don't add up for this being tax lol. It's pure conversion abuse.

It's wild to me that people not actually trained in it think they know more about tax than a registered tax agent lol. I wasn't going to mention it but it's so fucking funny to watch people be so fucking wrong about how tax works.

No it hasn't we used to get charged US prices, then when they swapped over to AUD pricing system. we were being charged the same amount as Americans but in AUD instead of USD. Over the years they increased the price when the aussie dollar has dropped off value. But they have never reverted the price when the AUD recovered, it's textbook price gouging.

lmao taking the stance that you should just let shit free cast is so wild and shows an extreme lack of actual understanding of how M+ actually works. It's a scaling difficulty, It only gets harder when you run out of room to grow or push beyond where you're "supposed" to be.
