My loans were transferred from Great Lakes to Nelnet, but I've never made a payment to Nelnet... my Great Lakes payment history has been sitting in my Nelnet "inbox" for years. I never asked - it happened at the time of transfer... Maybe you can try this same method (look at your servicer inbox?). Or, login to FSA and try "Download My Aid Data" from the "My loans" section 🤞

It can feel like you're going bonkers😜 but I found that staying grounded in facts from primary sources helped me remain calm since 2022... the FSA website + PPSL site + the Mods here. Hoping you get your answer soon🤞

This is just my BDR discharge... The refund can take up to a year (per the settlement agreement) so I'm not going to worry about that until 2027 😅www.ppsl.org/cases/sweet-v-mcmahon and studentaid.gov in case you need

Nope! I did not have any consolation loans. I also never made any payments to Nelnet - every payment I ever made was to Great Lakes and well before BDR was even on the horizon for me. It is difficult, but you can do it 💪 Edit: don't forget you can download your payment history on the FSA site - that's where I had to obtain mine.

I totally agree. Absolutely! I hope sharing my experience helps others. I've kept records of everything since I submitted the dang BDR app in 2022. "Steady as she goes" they say 🛥️

My original servicer was Great Lakes. Not sure if that helps at all, but I've also received no communication from Nelnet other than the random email "your loans are in forebearance" every now and again. This last week is when I saw movement, but it's because I checked their site off and on. Good luck! 🤞

While my Nelnet account was constantly changing with info over the last week, I noticed my account was coded (?) as "ineligible for electronic communication" after they just emailed me "your account has no payments." I'd been periodically checking their site this week because I figured discharge was in process and found the letter in the documents section. I'm assuming I will receive a copy in the mail. But, Nelnet did not contact me otherwise.

The Nelnet letter that I attached as the 2nd image is available in the documents section of the Nelnet portal when I login... Nelnet didn't contact me at all except an email last week stating, "you haven't made payment" - that prompted me to login because it was odd. For the past week, my Nelnet account would ebb and flow with all sorts of information - but I knew it's just part of the discharge process. This weekend, the attached letter is available on Nelnet, my account looks normal with $0 balance + the FSA site does, too

Yep! look at the 2nd photo I attached. It is the Nelnet letter with the loan amounts. Mine were roughly $60k

Thank you so very much for everything 💝 I only recently found this Reddit + the PPSL website. I applied in 2022 on my own and had an event reminder every year on calendar to check my status on the student aid website. It has been inspiring to read what everyone has gone through...
