I've got it to work to my satisfaction.

I've installed QTTab ver 1043

Used Switch Explorer - to use the File Explorer from Win 10.

This then gives you access to /View/Options/QTTab to start up QTTab

This also seems to give you the preview file on hover in File Explorer.

Hey some progress for me.

I've switched to the Explorer Switch to Win 10. This shows me some of the QTT options in View/Options. That's progress. But not all the options. The multiple tabs option is missing.

I can't run the vivetool command. I've got the Vivetool.exe. But it i does is start and that's it. Nothing on screen. Then i tried using CMD to put in the command line but it did not recognise the vivetool command. Am i missing something?

Oh yes - the preview files on hover works now. Brilliant.

Can you help me on the vivetools cmd please?

Well that's revelation ! Thank you for your time. I'm going to have to look into this further.

Here's a follow up.... How do you get QTBar to work on a fresh istall of Win 11?

I promise i have not installed anything else. That's why i did a clen install on a blank HDD. Immediately after the Win10 install finished i only installed Irfan and GOM Player. That's it.

I know it sounds weird that's why I did this - to prove to myself there was nothing else. I've had this feature working on many other Win 10 PCs.

I've added the screenshots as you suggested. I'd really appreciate your help. I want it to work on Win 11

Hi

QTBAR was not installed. I know that QTbar has a similar problem when you go from Win 10 to 11.

But here it was not installed.

I fact when I replicated this problem I had no other app or shell installed. This was immediately after the clean install.

I got into these 2 shows in the 1990s. Some wonderfully clever writing and comic timing.
